iHome White Noise Machine for Baby, Portable Sound Machine with Sleep Sounds and Lullabies for Babies, Newborn Essentials Ideal for Baby Shower Gifts

This iHome baby machine was surprisingly disappointing. First of all there's the wonky design which reminds me of a megaphone. Next are the eight white noises and I'm wondering why so many, why not a heartbeat, crickets, waves, or some other sounds? The only one I do actually like is the lullaby which even I found soothing to listen to. On a positive note however the speaker sounds excellent and I love the 30, 60, and 90 minute timers. It's also portable and can be powered by the USB cable (there's no adapter) or three AAA batteries. I really think this should have come with a built in rechargeable battery though, especially for the price. There is also no nightlight which was another bummer. All in all it's okay but I expected more from an iHome product.

I need a sound machine when traveling, so this is for my use. I used sound machines when my children were babies, and they still use them, so I can comment on their functionality for those purposes as well.I have other sound machines of the ihome brand and have not had any durability issues. They work well and have good speakers. This model is no different in that aspect. The speaker is good, with good quality sound, and it feels like it will hold up well.I prefer white noise, and the options on this model do not disappoint. The other choices are there as well for those that do not prefer the white noise, and I feel that the options are comparable/standard to most noise machines available.I love that this machine is more compact than the others that I have, making it easy to travel with. When flying I do not like the have to check a bag, and this fits easily in my personal item suitcase.At this price, this is a great noise machine. The portability make it great for people when traveling, as well as for Moms on the go with a baby. The fact that it can run on batteries if desired is nice for taking on the go for in the stroller. When mine were little this would have been great when they were in the stroller sleeping at siblings sport events to sleep soundly.The only downside for me was the awkward shape, but it is not a big deal.

This portable noise machine is great if you’re traveling or out and about and need some white noise for your baby to fall asleep.The size is good for fitting in a bag. Not too bulky or heavy. It does take batteries to work as a portable unit, or can be plugged in if you’re using in a room.I liked the sound of the white noise. Some other machines I find are too high pitched or more energizing sounding while this sounded like a true white noise (think tv static). Volume can be adjusted up or down and it can go pretty loud. Wish there was one more adjustment between the lowest two settings as I was finding for me personally the lowest was still a little loud and the next option was off. I prefer my sound to not be that loud, just a bare minimum.The lullaby song is a nice option but not one I’ll personally use. My toddler is used to white noise.Good price and size for being able to use both portably and as a plug in unit. Suits more needs than just a standard plug in sound machine.

This white noise machine from iHome is a pretty decent product. It not only has a nice design, it feels premium and the device has some weight to it. The sound quality is very nice and you can choose from many volume levels. While there are slightly different types of white noise sounds to choose from, it only has one lullaby sound. I wish it would have a larger variety of lullaby’s and music to play. Another great feature it has is that it’s portable. You can use it with both usb cable and batteries making it possible to take the white noise machine with you when traveling.Overall, this is a high quality, portable, and nicely designed white noise machine. However, it could greatly benefit from addition of more sounds and variety of lullaby’s.

this sound machines looks like a speaker on the table. it needs to plug in, unless you use batteries, it self is not chargeable.the sound quality is good to me, but it has very limited choices, there is only one lullaby and a few very similar white noises. it does not have any natural sounds.I don't very like the overall shape design, when I am in bed in the dark, buttons are easy to use, but to me, its not feel very comfortable finding the buttons in the dark.Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.
