Smooth sound, bad plastic
This guy puts out amazing high frequency noise. I would definitely recommend it.The downside is with the face plate and mounting. The plate is made of brittle plastic. I bought two and one came broken. I contacted parts express and they sent me a replacement, so don't be too concerned. The mounting holes are very close to the speaker cutout, getting the mounting right without screw holes breaking into the cutout required some effort. You will also have to make two notches in the cutout as the housing has two protrusions. This is a 5 ohm speaker, so you might need to add some series resistance to pair it with other 8 ohm speakers (i had to add 4 ohms to match the rest in the cabinet).Given its operating frequency range, you should cross over around 3.5kHz - 5kHz.If a compact, great sounding tweeter is what you are looking for, the TN25 fits the bill.5 ohm, 20W, 2.5kHz - 22kHz, Fs = 1.5kHz, 89dB
