Great boxset with lots of extras it. If you are a big kinks fan this boxset is a must have .

I somewhat knew of the album, Muswell Hillbillies, when this new remastered reissue was announced. Not only did this celebration give me reason to finally listen in full, but it made me absolutely fall head over heels in love with it! Genuinely my favourite Kinks album, and Everybody's In Show-Biz... has a lot of neat tunes as well. From the desolate, sarcastic '20th Century Man' to music-hall haze of 'Holiday' and 'Alcohol' and bluesy 'Holloway Jail', Hillbillies is an overlooked masterpiece - and a grim, if wryly funny, look at late 1960s/early 1970s Britain. The remastered tracks sound brilliant, and 'Travelling With My Band' is an almighty bonus track!Similarly, Everybody's In Show-Biz... sounds great (though not as good as its predecessor, in my opinion) in its new sound, and 'Celluloid Heroes' still stands out as my favourite particular song the band ever did. It's just beautiful.Both these albums sound great, all these years later, and the bonus tracks are something cool for the collector! This package - which groups both remastered albums together on CD in a book like form - feels like genuine time and effort have been spent on its design and creation. It's full of the notes on the background of both albums, and some neat, exclusive pictures of the band around that time. This a lovely little thing to own, and great value for money. A must have for Kinks fans!
