Got the unit and installed it no problem. When I fired up the car, the right side of the unit (set, cancel...etc) was not functioning....no lighting and inop. I contacted customer support and "radio silence"I am stuck with a defective unit and VERY unhappy!!!!!!!Update: Took a couple monts to get customer service to reply and take action (Based in and ship replacement from China, a lot gets lost in translation....and you can imagine how long shipping takes). They did however send me a new unit. I tested it and the right control unit functions with the exception of lighting at night. Just have to remember where the controls are. Interesting that the off on left unit was totally functional on both of the ones they shipped, but there are defects in the right side unit on both.Its functional now, but not as advertised and customer service was VERY lenghty. Ill bump it up a star for their efforts.

Bought to replace cruise control switches on a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport. I used the existing ribbon cable and just replaced the switches. The install process went smoothly and these fit well and work great! Overall I am very happy; the only slightly negative thing I can say is that these are not as black as the originals and therefore don't quite match the color of the steering wheel. But if your old controls are like mine were: dangling, broken, sun backed/peeling, thus unusuable.....these sure look great and the slight difference in color is barely noticeable!! :) My only regret with this purchase is that I did not replace my controls sooner! Thanks!! :D

I purchased this product to replace the worn out switches on my 2003 Explorer Sport Trac. Installation was straightforward for someone with a good set of tools and some mechanical skills. I used a steering wheel puller to make it easier to replace the cable but it is possible to fish the wires behind the steering wheel without taking it off.Once installed, the right side switch backlighting was inop and the right side horn button didn't work; this was similar to a problem that was mentioned by another reviewer. I contacted the company and they sent a no-charge replacement. Their response was quick but shipping from China took awhile.I installed the replacement and it had the same problem. Since I now had 2 units with the exact same problem, I decided to do some troubleshooting. After verifying the design against my original switches, I discovered the problem was that the two outside wires (pins 1 and 7) on the ribbon cable were not making contact with the right side connector (the wires are just pushed into a groove in the connector that cuts the insulation and makes electrical contact with the wire. After pushing these wires back firmly into the connector, the right side backlight and horn worked correctly.This product appears to be designed properly (looks similar to the Ford OE part) and is much cheaper than the Ford part. Unfortunately, due to the poor quality control it's not a real bargain. I was fortunate enough to be able to fix the part I received. I hope that this information will help someone else; since I got 2 with the same problem and another person described the same problem, I'm guessing that there are more bad assemblies out there.

I purchased this cruise control switch because the factory one began cracking from wear. The original one worked, but looked ugly with tears in both the left and right hand "bubble'" buttons. It took a while before I was able to take the truck, a 2001 Ford Ranger, to a repair shop, They could not get the new switch to work, and checked everything, and had to order the original Ford replacement cruise control switch for $140. By the time I found out the part was useless, it was past the time to return. I do not recommend ordering products from this seller.

Outstanding replacement. Install was very easy, looks completely original to the vehicle. Buttons light up and work just as the factory. Highly recommend this product if current controls are faded or broken.

They were simple to install with just watching a YouTube video. My truck hadn’t had working cruse control for about 5 years. The original buttons weee broke, and just shined a bright green light in your face. These took about an hour to install, and fixed everything. Only difference is these glow yellow, and not green. But I’m okay with that

Amazon suggested I may need this for my Ranger and they were right. The original ones fell apart. I had no idea it was so easy to replace.

They work on a 97 ford ranger. They work good.
