Ordered these last minute since local dicks was all sold out of small padded pants. They fit my 7 year old son great! Ordered a small, he's 50lbs and 4 feet tall, he's got a little room to grow too. I was worried because of all the "runs way small" reviews, but the small fits my small kid perfectly.

These are made extremely well, but had a weird fit in the waist and super tight in buttocks. I had to take them in on sewing machine despite belt conching. They lasted 2 seasons just fine though. Wash well without shifting of pads.

These football pants are the best!!! They are great quality, comfortable, tighten as much as needed and don’t become loose during a game or practice. A lot of the kids out on the field are pulling their pants up and getting hit and feeling it, but our kiddo loves these pants!!! They are super padded, has extra padding that most don’t come with. Really protective, fit great and don’t fall. They are super durable and have made it through wear 4 days a week for 2-3 hours a day, lots of washing and drying!!! They still look like new! These are the best pair out there and we will definitely be ordering in his size every year!!!

Despite measuring my 80lb, smaller than average 11 year old son and following the size chart, these pants could not get past his knees. The diameter is also inches smaller than claimed. They are a durable appearing fabric, but they do not have any stretch and will need to be nearly molded to a child to fit, even in the correct size. We have no choice but to return and are hoping this review will save others the diversion from finding pants needed urgently during the season.

I ordered based on the sizing chart and they were still WAY too small! Seemed like decent quality but you need to order at least 3 sizes bigger.
