1 inch ny 2 inch inside dimensions. But gate can maybe open enough to push in about 1/2 inch inside. Do not use ss a real carabineer. I hang a lot of bags on hooks in bathroom on hooks. This is NOT for rope climbing.

The open velcro straps are two segments. Both are 1.25 inches wide. One is 6 inches ling; the other is 5.75 inches long, but about one inch of each is sewn together.The smallest loop one can make with them is about 2 inches long, and about a 4 inch circumference. The biggest loop is about 4.5 inches, and about a 9 inch circumference.
