Q: Will it heat a 18 foot round pool in CA?

Depends on how deep the pool is. The unit is supposed to work for pools up to 5,000 gallons.

Q: So you sold me a unit that cannot defrost? Why is it covered in frost when the unit is outside, completely ventilated in GA? How do I defrost it?

Hairdryer? Not sure your model, but most say they'll frost up at or below 55 degrees.

Q: What's the return policy if I don't like it or it doesn't heat my 4500gal pool up?Like a previous customer said his pool is 3000gals & it didn't work

You can return it if necessary just package it appropriately

Sorry for my misunderstanding. 6000gallons pool, keep 85F in winter months, located in central Fl, you would better take a 20000BTU unit for safety.
