A MUST HAVE FOR YOUR STRIP LIGHT PROJECT!
This product is a MUST HAVE for your strip lighting project. If you are using extension wires to extend the reach of the strips LEDs this makes the project a breeze. I originally ordered the flat snap connectors but quickly found there is no easy way to connect these to bare wire. I give this product an A+++

Works well if a little extra time is committed
I was on the fence about picking these quick connectors up for my first LED light strip project after reading the reviews. As I planned my project the thought of sodering allof the connections that I would need felt daunting so I figured I would give these a try and see what happened.I am glad I did.The project was to add LED lighting to a 10x12 outdoor gazebo. To accomplish the lighting I wanted I had to cut a 32ft LED RGB strip into 8 individual 4ft strips that would be attached to the 8 overhead canopy support bars. Each strip would be connected at the central point, like a star fish. So I used 8 of these connectors on one end of each of the 4ft strips. They worked out well and sped up the assembly process but not without a few bumps along the way. So here we go.1: Take you time. As other reviews have mentioned be sure to line up the copper connectors of the LED strip with the contact points in the connector. Also be sure to close in one steady effort. For waterproof strips this could take a little effort and I used a small pair of pliers with heat shrink tape over the teeth to prevent scratching. (I little OCD I know)2: I stripped the LED wires back a bit before clamping them into the connector. Make sure you do not have any over lap of the bare wires or a stray strand that may lay onto another wire. It will cause color flutter or weakness. (I speak from experience.) The wire connection side is a bit more forgiving to resets. Just be careful when opening up the connector. The plastic tabs tend to snap off.3: TEST. I tested each section prior to assembly to the central point and prior to installation overhead.4: Seal. Once I was sure all of the connections were working I used liquid tape to seal the connector. This holds everything in place and also waterproofs the connector. Since my project was outdoors i wanted to make sure there would be no water or condensation in the connector. While they are well made I am not convinced they are waterproof. So in summery.PRO1: Well made2: Ecomonical3: Easy to use (see cons)4: Speed up my project. Even with the extra prevention steps still faster then sodering I think (Granted I am not a pro)CONS1: Even if these connectors are well made and designed for waterproof LED strips I did not feel comfortable with the various gaps and "open air" locations once closed. I am not sure if they would be waterproof\resistant enough so a little extra time needs to be spent to seal them.2: A little unforgiving to connection mistakes on the LED Strip side of the connector. Onced punched down it will take a bit of finangling to get it to get a good connection.Overall I will order these again and I am happy with the product.

Bunch of Crap
Look ... I work on RC Planes. I am familiar with working with small wires and small connectors. These connectors are a load of garbage. They do not provide a solid connection to the light strips. When I finally got all the connectors connected to the light strips and to the jumper wires with all the lights working, I went to mount the light strips (by the backing tapes) and the connectors lost their connections to the light strip. Five hours of work to connect up a lousy 12' of light strip and everything ended with me throwing everything into the garbage can -- the light strips, connectors, power supply, and remote. What a waste of money. The manufacturer of these connectors should be removed from Amazon. I cannot believe all the positive reviews. If I could have given them zero stars -- I would have. By this load of crap at your own risk and sanity!

5050 Waterproof They FIT!!
Yes, they are the only ones I believe on Amazon that fit 5050 waterproof and they work great! If you crunch them too hard with a Vise-Grip they do break, but I still have lots left over.

Good stuff
WOW... love the clips very easy to use make sure the ends of the wire are clean so the clips can snap close i used some heat shrink tubing because it will be used outdoors

Works ok, but with a bit of difficulty.
They do work - but they take some time. You do need to strip the wires for the best connection. And order extras, because if you have to undo a connection for any reason, you will need a new connector. They don't work great a second time. I found that wrapping them tightly with electrical tape once I had made the connection was helpful to keep them together and working. Would buy again, there is just not a great solution for connecting RGB wire to strip lighting.
