This knife block looks nice on the counter and is much more modern looking than the typical slanted rectangle. The magnets grip well and my heavier knives stay out. The wood quality seems fine. This is a great option if you want to avoid mounting a magnetic strip to the wall.

Attractive and takes up little space on my small counter

I looked at a lot of options and most had complaints about not firmly holding knives in place. Going with the exposed magnet option may not look as nice but functions well. In addition, it's solid hardwood. No veneer to cover hidden magnets so I believe it will stand the test of time better than a lot of the other products I considered.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a great addtion to my kitchen's both functionality I use knives alot and this block makes them easy to access and also keep clean instead of sliding in those normal knife block slots. Let's be honest those things get gross no telling whats in them after some time goes by. It's also just very cool to look at and makes a great conversation piece when having guests over. I highly recommend adding this to your kitchen for just sanitary reasons but its also just a really cool add to any kitchen!!!

Our Ottava Knife Block arrived in in perfect condition and in incredible packaging - most items on Amazon these days come in generic, lack-luster boxes or bags. Not this item. From the beginning it felt quality. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting this high of quality product, but the weight, fit, and finish are all reflective of this premium product. We now have our favorite and most used knives displayed and I find myself looking at them regularly.If you’re someone who enjoys the finer things, and appreciates functionality in an impressive form, I couldn’t recommend this product more

The Ottava Knife Block adds a touch of elegance to our farmhouse kitchen. It also adds an element of functionality when we are preparing meals. I love having our selection of knives so accessible when cooking. The magnetic feature is strong but also easy to detach the knives. This product is amazing! What a great addition to our kitchen! This is so much better than a traditional knife block. It not only looks awesome, the design is great too! I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a unique, yet sophisticated and functional product to add to their kitchen. I will be purchasing more of these for Christmas presents and client appreciation gifts in the future.

If you own nice knives and love to cook you have to get this. I constantly get compliments on it from guests and the Ottava sits as a centerpiece in my kitchen displaying my prized knives. Plus it’s easy to move around so when kids are around I can easily pick it up and move it away. I tried other knife blocks and they weren’t nearly as good or unique as they are all square.
