No more puddles!
I have a cat named Charlie. Charlie is a big boy. Probably one and a half years of age. He was a street cat that was trapped neutered and returned. Acted quite Feral UNTIL The first 10 below 0/blizzard night hit us not that many weeks back. All of a sudden he was mighty friendly the next few days. Then the weather got so bad and so cold that he came out of the shed area visibly shaking with one paw held up in the air. Turned out he was starting to get frostbite on his little paw. I had never seen a cat shivering like that in my life. Or frostbite on his little paw and the tips of his ears. I enticed him into my back hallway and then into my house with a stinky can of tuna.Charlie quickly acclimated to the house cat life. He took to a litter box quite quickly pretty much within 20 minutes he was already peeing in the litter box!! He also figured out how to move a heavy ceramic dog water bowl from one side of the floor tray to the other. Leaving a huge water trail in its wake. Why he would stick his paws in this ball and physically drag it across to the other side of the boot tray/catch tray, is beyond me. But he did it on a daily/nightly basis and left quite a mess behind him. While these bowls are smaller than their Predecessors he cannot move the water or the food ball across the tray anymore. No more mess. For the price, quality, etc. I do not mind having to refill the water bowl multiple times a day. Iโm thinking about getting another set just like this. The included โtrayโ that holds the bowls in place is very easy to pick up and clean. The price and arrival time was definitely satisfactory. Overall a good product.

Well made and good design, but no match for my pup
This dog bowl set is well made, easy to clean and will probably contain spills for many dogs. The silicone mat that is integrated with the stainless steel bowls is non skid and will not slide around under normal use. However, what it will NOT do is prevent a super-active puppy from picking up the mat and flinging the whole thing around. So Iโve had to put this bowl and mat unit aside for now and hope that as my puppy grows, she will grow out of this phase and be able to eat and drink from this set without picking it up and flinging it.

Good Size for the bowls !
we have a 25 lb puppy so far, he will get bigger. These bowls serve him well now and I think will continue to as he grows. He is eating more volume of food now than when he will be a year old..Puppies do a lot of growing. Right now we fill the water dish to half and do that several times a day. I like my puppy to have fresh water. There is a lot of space between the two bowls which makes for having a wider footprint on the floor. We are full timers living in a 23 foot trailer so floor space is at a premium. The silicon mat slides easily which is disappointing. puppy liked to "dig" through it and really upset it at the beginning. It took several "leave its " to convince otherwise. All in all- a good product-

Not durable
I bough this for my shepherd/husky mix pup because she was always tipping her bowls of food and water over. This is definitely not going to help that if that's the reason you're buying. She chewed one of the little ears off less than a week after I put it out. She is still able to spill both food and water all over the floor by just picking up the whole mat and giving it a nice toss. The bowls are set down in the mat which is great, and they do fit pretty snuggly, but she is still able to remove them with her teeth. The bowls have not rusted as I have seen in previous review of products like this. The mat itself is a dog hair magnet and generally looks terrible regardless of how often its cleaned. This would be a pretty decent buy for someone with a small breed dog that sheds minimally and isn't a puppy/insane.

Great For Smaller Breed Dogs
I have a 12 lb Cavalier. The size of both bowls are perfect. I was concerned about the reviews which stated the bowls are difficult to remove. As long as you hold the base, this isn't an issue at all.If you have a large breed, these bowls wouldn't be large enough.

Great design but sub-par quality
The design is great, it makes so that the bowls don't move or get spilled. Unfortunately, the quality of the bowls is not there. My corgi puppy has been eating out of these just over 2 months and I just noticed there is a small hole developing in the bottom of bowl we used for food. Haven't the slightest idea how this happened but I'm definitely disappointed.

Very useful for multi-pet homes!
I have three cats and a dog who all like to drink out of the same dishes. There tended to be lots of spillage that I was getting over having to clean up constantly. This product is SO useful, easy to wipe clean, and works perfectly! I haven't had any issues with it, and it makes spillage no longer a problem in my life thanks to the little amount of spilled water evaporating.

feeding dish VERY small
My dog, Willow, is a Jack Russell mix and weighs in around 30 pounds. The feeding and water pans were far too small for her to eat and drink comfortably. In addition, removing the pans from their rubber type base was messy, difficult, and just not worth the bother. I can not recommend this product for any dog that is larger than perhaps 18 pounds.
