Great paddle strop! Great quality and value! I especially love the thick leather, it must be 8-9oz quality tanned leather as its thicker than most other paddle strops I've purchased and I enjoy how it feels under the blade. It also is one of the few paddle strops (maybe the only one) that comes with all 3 polishing compounds, most only include the green. I would certainly purchase again, again and again! Oh wait, I have already purchased this one many times!

My big case pocket knife was dull, hit it 4 licks on each side of a 800 then 1200 diamond plate , then hit it 4 licks on each side on the rough side of strop with red compound, then 4 on each side of knife on smooth side of strop with green, now shaves my arm like a straight razor now, really happy with this strop, what people don't realize is you can't get a poor quality knife sharp on any thing , but good knifes like case, or our victorialox meat knifes it just takes less than one minute each to have them like razors

Product arrived in a timely fashion and appeared to be of good quality. On first use, the coumpound wouldn't hold to the leather and kept flaking off. After some quick research, I used a torch to heat the leather prior to application and it worked like magic! (There were suggestions to use olive or similar oils to prepare the leather, but I'm hesitant to add a lubricant to a honing strop as the viscosity could prevent the grit from contact with the blade). Also the difference in results was AMAZING! I've never been able to get my knives or chisels to sharp enough to shave (aka scary sharp) until now! I had tried honing guides when sharpening, water stones, and even wet-dry sandpaper but could never get that clean edge until using this strop.

A great purchase! Many times a quick run on this will bring the edge right back on a quality knife. This is a must have if you like sharp knives. Quality is is much highter than I expected.

EXCELLENT STROP! Nice and long and a good width. I loaded up the coarse side with 3 micron diamond paste from TechDiamondTools (direct is much cheaper) - and 1 micron for the smooth fine leather side. Quickly removes the burr after sharpening then hones the edge to a razor sharp apex

I have sharpened my knives for many years using just stones. I didnt think using a strop would make that much of a difference but they take the edge from functional to cut with, to whatever you are cutting may as well not be there sharp. A great buy.

Works as i hoped it would

I was looking for a good quality product after spending over $60 and got the parcel yesterday. The product is fake leather that hasn’t been glued down properly with rough edges and leather is peeling off. The wood used to make it (if you can call it that) is lightweight and has a crack in the handle. The product is not comfortable to use with splinters and sharp edges. Tried using this product yesterday, it sent my knives blunt and gave me splinters in my hands. Not impressed.

2 compound not 3 one is missing

Works . Chalks Abit tough to apply but once done able to use as adverstised
