I love this brand and style of shoes! I always have a pair of Dansko Sophie sandals in my closet and I wear them out! Even though they are very well made and last a long time. I went looking for a new pair when my last pair was was looking a little a worn. These caught my eye: colorful and just a bit shiny- but they didn't have my size. So I waited patiently and kept checking and when they finally restocked my size I snagged them! It's easy to buy these online because they are very consistent with their sizing. I like that the uppers are made of real leather and so breath and form to your foot. The buckles are stylish but also functional. You can adjust the width to your foot. I always need to open up the top buckle by one ring. I don't know what the soles are made of but I can wear these all day without my feet hurting. I'm sure it t has something to do with the "rocker bottom". I have even worn them to amusement parks and been fine at the end of the day. They are well worth the price in my opinion. These used to come in all kinds of designs but lately I am seeing mostly solid colors. I hope they are not phasing out patterns on this style that I love so much and especially hope that they don't discontinue it! I love my Sophie's and will continue to buy them as long as they are available!!

I have purchased at least three pairs of the Dansko Sophie sandal, and I will purchase more. It never fails me as a perfect walking shoe.An anecdote: A few years ago, I went on a 3-week trip to Europe as a belated honeymoon. It was October and November, and I brought a trench coat and sweaters, but kind of on a whim, I packed my Sophies, thinking I'd wear them in our Airbnbs like slippers. That was a smart move. A much less smart move was buying some shoes *the day before our trip* from Nordstrom Rack and packing them without breaking them in. Our first day in Paris, I put them on with thin knee-high hose and we went to Versailles for the day. Within an hour I had developed an excruciating blister on my left heel. It was so bad, I couldn't wear a shoe that touched my heel back for the rest of the trip. I turned to my trusty Sophies, and walked in perfect comfort for the rest of the trip. Now, Parisians and Italians are fashionistas. They don't wear sandals in the winter. My bare toes caught everyone's eye, so I ended up pairing my black Sophies with black socks, because even though wearing socks with sandals is an even more egregious fashion crime than wearing sandals in November, it ended up being less noticeable. We walked from the 7th Arrondissement to Sacred Coeur in Montmartre, and then up to the top of the basilica. We walked all over Venice. We climbed the Duomo in Florence and the Piazzale Michelangelo. We walked all over Rome--and my feet loved every minute of it.These are shoes that I know will fit and feel perfect right out of the box. I now use them when I go for walks to get my steps in--they are easier to wear than sneakers.I only wish they came in brown too.

I love these shoes. I transitioned from Crocs which have worked great for years but I have used Dansko nursing shoes and have loved them for years. My only complaint with these is that with Crocs, cleaning is easy and there has never been a smell. These shoes are harder to clean and have a smell. I am sensitive to foot smell and notice on myself when I have never had that issue. I am very self conscious about that. I have tried a few things but foot smell still seems to linger on the shoes since they are harder to clean. I do get compliments on the design. My gait has changed. If you are not used to Dansko shoes, these may be tougher to get used to. They wear down to a point and last forever. I am used to that but others may want to be aware of how these kind of shoes work. They will last forever and no foot pain so definitely worth the investment. My back pain has improved as well.

These are the perfect slip-on sandals! First, they are adorable. As my husband said, "they can't be comfortable, they aren't ugly." Honestly, you can take these out of the box and wear them all day, while your feet stay comfy. They have just the right amount of heel and a padded suede foot bed for extra cushioning and absorption. Of course, both of the straps are fully adjustable to fit your foot perfectly. In my opinion, they do run a bit small. I usually wear 40's in Dansko clogs and the 41 fits me better.This is my second pair of Dansko Sophie sandals, my first pair being the iridescent blue, which are amazing! I get compliments every time I wear them.I do wish that there was a picture posted of the strap material up close, as it is not what I was expecting. The shoe is actually lighter in color with more of the speckled color being dominant, giving them more of a gray appearance--still neutral. I considered returning them for the black shimmer, but my size was already gone. No worries. These are so comfortable that I wear them for air travel--easy to slip off and on, plus you can hike through airports without your feet aching. Perfect!If I see another color on sale, I will probably purchase. As an added bonus, they really wear well. Thanks Dansko....more please!!
