Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Vol. III Eyeshadow Palette Limited Edition

I LOVE Tarte cosmetics- they make up almost all of my makeup routine. And I fell in love with their eye shadow (I used to be an Urban Decay eyeshadow devotee) when I did a mini-makeover for eye makeup at Sephora and got their Tartelette in Bloom palette. I’ve been using that for over a year and love how much pigment each swipe gives you. (I actually went to a drugstore with the Tarte palette and bought a similar “nude” palette. I could get similar results, but only after swiping and swiping over and over to finally get the colors deep and visible enough to even see in order to make the look I wanted. So I took that palette back to the drug store. It may have been cheaper, but was a waste of time and I probably would have used it up way sooner since it took so much.Each palette comes with a small card giving step by step directions for two separate looks. I learned so much about applying eye shadow from the cards and also You Tube videos about that palette (yes, I actually did). I love the whole palette, but came to love the more shimmery colors- they’re not glittery, just give a little more... glow and accent my eyes to draw away from any dark circles. So, I found this palette, Tarte Rainforest of the Sea.It is SO gorgeous. In fact, the actual palette is gorgeous itself with a design of beautiful peacock feathers and gold! And then you open it to see the gorgeous colors. I almost didn’t want to use it and mess up the colors! Almost. I did give in, of course. And I tried both looks from the card included and they’re both so different but gorgeous. And- I learned more about eye shadow application again! And I did a You Tube death and there are videos for it as well that I’m sure I’ll watch...So buy up! I think they even smell good. My original Tarte palette has been used for at least a year and a half and is still going strong (Don’t worry, I wash my collection of brushes frequently), so I look forward for a long time with this one as well.

This is my second time ordering this Tartelette. It’s my fav. I’ve been in cosmetics and skincare, both directly and indirectly.This particular “toasted” compact has a color scheme which most people would think is most appropriate for fall. But I have experimented with the colors throughout the four seasons of the year, and I can tell you this color scheme is perfect year-round, and you will fall in love with it. I feel it goes with just about any skin tone.Happy,- MP

The colors are great neutrals, six of them have sparkle or shimmer to them and the other two are matte. They apply smoothly and can be applied lightly for an almost translucent effect or built up for deeper intensity of color. Either way, they are beautiful and last all day . It is the first palette I've ever used that contain cream-to-powder shadows and I like it. It blends well with traditional dry shadows so I can use it with other brands and colors. I liked it well enough that I purchased 2 other palettes in the same line and I like them as well but the darker shades are my favorite. They are a great buy for the price.

Fantastic colors and quality. Blends naturally with my skin and stays on longer than most eye shadows used in the past (without a primer base product even). Highly recommend. Better quality content; ingredients do not cause harm to the body (at least with the limited research I’ve done).

Loved this product's look and appeal. I would say that this product is slightly darker in tone than I expected and 75% more glitter than expected from the pictures. Fortunately, I love it, but individuals who have easily irritated eyes or prefer more toned down eye shadow should probably choose something else. Giving it 4/5 stars for this reason alone as it wasn't exactly what I expected, but the makeup is gorgeous for a party or night out. Customer service was great and quick.

GORGEOUS! I never wanted to spend $50 on eye shadow but I have never been really impressed with any eye shadow color other than black and I have many large pallets. I am a "Fall" meaning that my skin has a slight yellow undertone as apposed to pink and I look the best in WARM shades no matter what the color is. I have bought SO many golds and coppers and they are okay but when I wear the colors on this pallet I always do a triple take in the mirror. I cannot believe how pretty I look with this pallet on. The powders are nice n creamy instead of chalky so they smooth on nicely. I also don't usually like shimmer eye shadow, but this is great! The color comes out plenty rich too. I will be buying another pallet soon from this company. I made this review on a whim so I didn't take a pic. Perhaps soon I will upload something later.

I was veryyy skeptical when I first saw the price of this palatte. Tarte sells this palette for about 40 dollars on their website and so I was nervous that this palatte would be a fake because it is almost half off the original price. After I read the reviews and asked a few questions, I decided to just try it and I bought the palatte. I just got it today, and I already own the Rainforest of the Sea Volume II palatte so I know how the shadows are supposed to feel. This palatte’s shadows are just as creamy and pigmented as my palatte that I bought from tarte. This palatte is completely authentic and definitely the real thing and I recieved it in the original packaging, it was in perfect, pristine shape. I definitely recommend buying it!!!
