This is an awesome case! I wasn't sure what size to order because of the tom mount on my bass drum (I have a Yamaha Custom Recording kit). Order according to the size of your DRUM HEAD. My bass is smaller than average (20"). I received the case in less than a week. It is a perfect fit! The case is perfect for the weekend warrior. The dual zippers make it so easy to load/unload. Quality craftsmanship. My other cases are another brand that were similar in price. If Ahead were around back then, I would have bought them instead. Ahead cases are great!.

These Ahead Armor drum cases are the bomb. My husband is a drummer and he was carrying his drums around in some pretty crummy hard-sided cases that he'd had for years. We replaced those with an entire set of Ahead Armor. His drums are well-protected, and he couldn't be happier with the cases. The handles make carrying a breeze, and the unique zipper design makes it easy to load and unload. Well-worth the money!!!

I like the case somewhat it does become a little awkward placing the bass drum in for the first time. As you can see in the pic I had to take the piece off for my smaller toms. Yet one more item you have to install during set up. Not sure if a bigger case would have solved that issue, but overall so far I'm satisfied with my purchase. Cost is alittle on the high side but I guess the lining inside the case makes up for the cost. The zippers seem to be OK so far lot easier zipping up a case than having to stap up cases all the time. Overall it may sound I'm not pleased with it but I believe it'll do a great job for me.

They’re not cheap, but these will last a long time. It’s going to take me awhile, but I’m planning on switching out all of my cases for Ahead.

Purchased the 22 X 20 bass drum bag from my 22 X 20 which measures 23" from hoop to hoop. My drum fits perfectly snug in the bad. Soft but thick padding, perfect for drum storage or lugging around in a car. I accidental bought the 24 X 20 originally and had to send it back because and it was way too large for my drum. These things have room for a little extra so don't worry about getting a size too small.

I love this case. Tough zippers, handles, and materials. The well thought out side handles are very convenient. The tear drop style and zipper pattern is very functional. Easiest way to put a soft case on a bass drum. I had to replace an old Beaton bag that served me for years. This is an upgrade.

Excellent case. I have a New Ludwig with the Atlas lug mounts for the Atlas Rail.They stick out on top of the shell and would have to have used an oversized case and that's a pain on a 24" kick.The pockets on the side are great for carrying the drum through doorways.I love it so much that I'll be getting matching cases for my toms.
