Installation: 1. Put the pump totally in the water with nozzle over the water, be sure the pump is fixed firmly on the bottom of the fountain to avoid vibration. 2. Plug the jack of pump in the jack of solar panel output. 3. Put the solar panel under enough sunlight and face directly to sun. Caution: * Be sure to put enough water in the fountain, especially sunny days; always keep the pump under the water surface. * Change water frequently to keep water cleaning to avoid any dirt to impede the pump. * Be careful to protect the solar panel to avoid damage, keep surface cleaning constantly. * It'll take 8 hours to face full sunshine to be charged to 100% at the start of the battery. LOL pump but it does have LED lights for the fish.
no power; batteries store negligible energy; pump requires a perfect angle of full sun to create a one-inch spray -- on some nozzles -- can't even lift the water out of the pump. waste of money and i was dumb enough to buy two.

I'm truly disappointed in the item
I'm truly disappointed in the item. To me, it was obviously used, with mismatched baggies containing parts. Virtually no instructions. The instructions that were there looked like they were homemade, with spelling errors. No where was there a website to go to for checking the the product.

The spike broke when I moved the panel. I used a Tiki holder spike to replace the spike that broke. Since the new spike is metal it worked very well. Minus one star.
