The unit as a standalone is ok. It does what it is supposed to do. But BEWARE, the software supplied on the USB drive contains malware. Specifically, it contains the Win32.Virtob.Gen.12 ransomware virus.

This unit provides a regulated power supply giving a snapshot of power amps and volts. There are 4 different presets and the chosen setting can be locked in to avoid accidental configuration changes. There's also a setting to cut the power to the outputs as distinct from the power to the unit itself. It's correspondingly great for use with different classes and scales of slot car. Setting to 4 amps also delivers more consistent connectivity on a circuit.

The PSU, and its features as a stand-alone device are absolutely fine. Easy to set output voltage and current and save setups to memory buttons.There's always a 'but'....the supplied software with this unit came on a supplied USB stick which, when virus checked, contained malware. Beware.In the product documentation, there are links to a google drive which does have the correct (and malware-free) versions of software and driver....successfully installed to a Win11 machine.
