As I unpacked this: "oh awesome! Amazon rocks. If I had seen this in the store I would have looked at the cheap packaging and assumed this was just some stupid little gadget. But this clock is beautiful and looks techy and cool."30 minutes later: "Oh, Amazon. If I had seen this in the store I would have known this was no good and never would have bought it."True, it's pretty cute. But this alarm clock is lacking some very basic alarm clock features.1. The USB cord is short. So even with my adaptor I wasn't able to plug it in and place it on my nightstand, because it's shorter than the distance between the middle of my wall and the top of my nightstand. The whole purpose of getting an alarm clock was to get my phone and screens out of the bedroom, but I can't with this alarm clock.2. There is only one wake up tone. There's not even two options.3. There is no volume adjustment. You just have to stick with the one volume setting.4. There is no snooze button. In fact there isn't even an official way in the instructions to turn off the alarm when it goes off. Through experimentation I learned that pressing the tiny "up" button in the back of the clock is the only way to turn it off.5. To set an alarm, you have to go through and confirm all the options, and the alarms are the last options. So you start the "setting" mode, and then confirm the year, the month, the date, the time, whether you want a 12 hour or 24 hour and THEN you can check that you want Alarm 1 on. Then you set the time for Alarm 1. And then you click through Alarm 2 and 3 and confirm if you want to set those as well before you are done. So it's about thirty annoying clicks of a tiny button you need to press with your thumb nail at the back of the clock just to set an alarm. Perhaps if you have the exact same alarm for every single day, this would be fine. But if you ever change your alarm time it's a gigantic pain.6. There are four settings for brightness. Even the lowest setting is bright enough to brighten up the entirety of my small bedroom. You can set it so that it's off and only lights up with sound activation, but it periodically lit up and went off with the tiniest sound.5 stars for looks and size. But this clock doesn't have enough functionality to actually make my evenings and mornings easier. .

I ordered this clock for my 8-year old triplets room so that they would know when to get us out of bed on the weekends. 8:30 instead of 6:30 without coming in to ask if it was time every 20 minutes. It's worked great for that! All 3 wear strong Rx glasses so I was a little concerned with the size of the display but that hasn't been a problem. I especially like the compact size because there isn't much shelf space in their room. And my husband is still astonished that it is made from wood. I didn't give it 5 stars because it requires either a USB port to plug into or 3 size AAA batteries that so far have lasted about a week at a time. With rechargeable batteries this is more cost effective but a traditional 110v plug would have been preferable. Also, the programming instructions are hard to read but after 1-2 attempts it all makes sense. If you need a compact, low-light clock and can easily get to a USB port then I highly recommend this product!

Attractive design but virtually useless. Beyond the entirely too intricate programming poorly explained, the three AAA batteries have required changing four times in as many weeks. Amazon has offered a refund upon returning the item to the third party vendor. Time is a priceless commodity.Therefore, rather than spending still more valuable time (in addition to two calls to Amazon) finding packaging for this, printing off and affixing the label, either taking it to UPS or making an appointment with them to pick it up, I personally prefer to deposit it in the trash where it ultimately will be thrown anyway.

There’s an undocumented feature that I also don’t see mentioned in other reviews. The clock has separate brightness settings between the hours of 7am and 6pm. So if you find it too bright, make sure to set the brightness for both 7am - 6pm and 7pm - 6am.I’m using it as a clock only since my TV cable box doesn’t have a clock built in. I have it plugged into a USB port on the back of the cable box and so far it appears to be working great.

Once you get the clock set up, it works well - but that’s after several tries and watch g a you tube video. The instructions don’t help, so you need the video to set up the clock. The battery function did not work, red to have it plugged in. The controls are tiny little buttons on the back that you’ll never find in the dark if you use it for an alarm clock.

this alarm is super annoying to set, but does a great job in all other aspects. My favorite thing is that even without batteries in it, if it comes unplugged it doesnt lose your time or alarms as long as you plug it back in within a day or so.

Love this little guy, it looks really good, I like the whole "looks like just a block" then it lights up. But I do wish there was a setting to have it light up the whole time while it scrolls thru time, temp in a loop.

i wanted a simple clock that only displayed time when i wanted to see it... insert this product here.
