Absolutely lovely set of quality knives, if you do a lot of proper cooking, this is am excellent choice.Razor sharp and shear quality makes a significant difference.

This is an exquisite set of knives that is worth every penny.From the beginning as soon as the delivery arrived I knew this is a totally different story of knives.Own brand box with extreme packaging having safety well thought out in advance, extra papers, and plastic tips on knives to save them from any possible damage and/or accidents.The packaging itself underlines the quality of the set.The mat black block is out of here. Luxurious all the way. I saw the photos of the brown blocks and I have to say that in comparison the black, is 100% better and gives different vibes.I think that any photo won't do it just.The whole set on top of my counter uplifted my kitchen by a lot. Just sitting there when not in use, is like kitchen art.I am not a chef nor a professional cook, however, I am cooking from scratch for the last 30 years almost daily. I can't claim I am a pro but I can claim I have a good experience in daily cooking and I have never had such an experience with knives until this day.I felt the knives had the perfect overall weight on my hand and were well-balanced. The handles sat smoothly on my hand. All my fears of such quality would potentially be dangerous, disappeared when under my supervision (I was really scared) my teen son used some of them. I show him how to protect his fingers and he chopped everything like it was melted butter.(You definitely need a chopping board with those knives)I don't know if those are dishwasher safe but I would never risk it because there is really no need. I find them very easy to clean with hand washing.Where I live we have good quality water but I would recommend drying them with a cloth after handwashing to prevent minor stains from water.This is a lifelong set of knives that also are not cheap. Personally, I will do whatever is possible to prevent any bad handling that would drive them to not look as perfect as today.

The wood block is also a great addition to the set as it keeps the knives organized and within reach.The integrated design of the blade and shaft makes them easy to clean and ensures long-lasting performance. The wood block is made of natural oak, which makes it durable and adds to the overall aesthetics of the set. The hollow knife seat is also a great feature, making it easier to insert and remove the knives.Overall, the Damascus Kitchen Knife set is a great investment for any kitchen. These arrived in a in a glossy black branded box with images in the block on the front, knives laid out on the back, a detailed set of images and knife sizes on one side, and details of the manufacturing, knife care and guarantee on the remaining side. Once opened the steak knives are in one box with the remaining ones along with the sharpener steel, fork and shears in another, with the main block in its own box inside a bubble wrap sleeve. All items are within a plastic sleeve inside a card sleeve with tip protectors on all the knives and fork. In my opinion these are very well packed, protected and presented.Once I had unpacked everything I gave it all a really good look over to check the quality and finishing. The main block is a black matte finish with a black and silver Nanfang brothers logo plate on the front, and is a compact nice design that sits solidly on four rubber feet, and is well finished. All the knives have the same style handles with the fork and sharpener having rounded handles, and the shears matching with duel handles. I examined each piece one by one, and all the grinding of the blades and handles appear very uniformed and match together really well, the sharpener does have a different material handle which matches but not as well as everything else.I have tested everything now and the blades are extremely sharp making for very smooth cutting of everything I have tried. The sharpener brings back the razor sharp edge instantly when needed. It does say on the box dishwasher safe but I would not advise anyone to put these in a dishwasher as it will eventually dull the handles, and possibly damage them over the years.I have some Damascus steel knives for over five years now and they are still in perfect condition, and sharpen to a perfect edge quickly so I can be assured these will last a very long time.Overall in my opinion this is a great set, I really like the block being compact but still taking everything along with giving easy access to remove and replace. The set covers a multitude of kitchen tasks along with having a really good set of steak knives. I did think the handle material on the sharpener wasn’t quite to the quality of the rest of the set, and with a high end set such as this I would expect it to be which is the only reason I have not given top marks.

Verpackung Top, Messerblock selber geht. Die Messer gleich nach dem ersten Kontakt mit dem Wasser wenn die nicht gleich getrocknet werden, weisen kleine Roststellen auf, gleiche gilt auch für die Spülmaschine, noch dazu verlieren auch die Griffe sein "Glanz". Nach ein Paar Wochen waren auch schon die Ersten Klingenschaden zu sehen. Von mir keine Kauf Empfehlung.
