Review: Fantastic edition - I have to admit that I'm a diehard Fodor's fan and for every single holiday I plan I purchase a Fodor's guide. This one did not disappoint. I love everything about it - the paper, the writing, the insider tips, etc. I'd love it if it had a few more pictures but I still really enjoy it as it is. Some other reviews mentioned that it was light on the Tokyo section but I really don't think so. I ended up buying a Fodor's Tokyo guide as well and it had a few more suggestions for hotels and restaurants but it wasn't remarkably more fleshed out. I'm super happy with this one and I can't wait for my trip in October. Highly recommend! Review: Great book - Well written and informative

Comprehensive book
I purchased this for my son who is planning to visit Japan this year. He has commented how good the information that it contains is and he will be taking it with him as his reference guide.

Lovely book to plan with
Great material and suggestions! In an increasingly digital world, there’s something satisfying about a travel book still. After the trip, it serves as a reminder of the adventure, and is even more useful for a return trip once you have a basic understanding of the are.

Useless guide
Quality is very poor. History section slim. Whole book is too small to have any real recommendations.
