I am a product tester so I received this item for free or at a discount in exchange for a review. I only agree to test and review items that are relevant to my life AND that I would purchase without promotional consideration. With that said, I was happy to receive these ostrich feathers to sample because I needed them for decorations for the Halloween Booooo Ball at one of the local retirement communities where I volunteer. Even though it’s only the end of July, we wanted to get a head start because there are 55 centerpieces we need to make. The first thing my mother said when I told her I was ordering these feathers for review was, “how do they ship ostrich feathers without them getting messed up?” Hmmmm… good question. Turns out they’re packed neatly inside two end-to-end narrow bubble envelopes and inside that, they’re slipped inside a long plastic sleeve that has wooden skewers taped to the outside to protect them from potential damage (I've attached pictures). The feathers themselves are lovely with a nice, overall consistent dye coloring (the ones I ordered are black). They are nice and floaty with no clumps. The total length, including the quill part, is about 13". I’m happy to recommend these feathers to others and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again to finish our project.
