DOESN'T have three heat settings - instructions beyond confusing
On appearance out of the box a fairly good modern design. The control panel is well placed and hidden from everyday view. The separate wall bracket should make the heater easier to fit on the wall but its extremely fiddly to mount (which is admitted in the instructions which tell you to 'practice' it) and as a result of many attempts to get it right made a small dent in the front panel which is of very thin steel. I ordered the 1500 watt model which it claimed, when I purchased it, to have three 'heat settings' so I expected something like 500w, 1000w and 1500 watts to be available. However my watt meter showed that the heater draws 1565 watts in WHICHEVER setting it is in. In other words it is only on or off according to the thermostat, which like so many integral thermostats vastly overreads the actual room temperature so you have it set it higher. The instructions vaguely say there are three heat 'modes' but these all appear to be exactly the same; i.e. responding to the thermostat either on or off. I emailed the supplier on the address given to ask about these issues but I never had a reply which says it all really. Also if you want to use the built in timer I suggest you look for another heater as the instructions are beyond mystifying. Similarly, if you want different heat output levels look elsewhere. Overall very disappointed and would have returned but not worth the bother after having fitted it on the wall but other customers may wish to bear these points in mind.

Good, but has flaws
it does work well(for a limited time), but unfortunately does not seem to be made to last that long. The build quality feels lightweight and cheap and the wall bracket is no better, the silly little plastic clips that are meant to lock the unit to the bracket are floppy and not fit for purpose…as stated by others.my unit only lasted for ten months before it stopped working at all. To be fair after contacting Mylek they sent me a new replacement quickly. This has now stopped working completely after 23 months of occasional use, and once again it is unfit for purpose…just when I will be going to need it most.UPDATE : I contacted Mylek Uk and received a reply within two hours…followed up by two e-mails from them. The result being that without any quibble they initiated a full refund of the purchase price, which I received promptly. This is great customer service and anyone having a problem with one of their heaters can rest assured that they are dealing with a very reputable company.

Update Failure Warning: Seem nice efficient controllable heaters.
UPDATE: WARNING. We bought two of these Mylek 1000w versions plus three of the 1500w versions, to heat our cottage. To start with all was rosey until just after the warranty period had expired....At that point two of the five heaters just stopped heating (the control panel for programming etc still worked, but the heater element just stopped). We complained to Mylek and they provided one replacement, supposedly as a good will gesture. Trouble is, one year later, the replacement heater has now also failed, with exactly the same fault. So out of 6 supplied heaters, 3 have failed....all with the same fault. Presume this is some form of component failure. I've left the text of my earlier review below...Programming the hour by hour, seven day, controls (P3) seems complex to start with, but once you figure it out it works well. Once set up the P3 programme allows you to tailor the heat setting and temperature for each room to suit. We have 5 of these heaters (mixed 1kw & 1.5kw versions) in different room sizes each with their own needs. Heat output works well for both versions. The 'comfort' temperature setting is the level you want the heater to come up to, whereas the 'eco' setting is always 4 degrees less than the 'comfort' setting - useful for programming to prevent the temperature from falling too low in your absence. There are also 2 preset programmes (P1 & P2) which you can use but these are factory pre-set, all explained in the well written manual. The control panel display is clear and easy use. Fitting using the wall bracket was straight forward enough but watch out for the brackets not being quite square. Needed to use a spirit level to check you have the wall brackets properly lined up and level - crooked bracket means crooked wall heater. We have an Economy 10 electricity supply with old storage heaters. These Mylek heaters are being used to replace/augment the old storage heaters. Would recommend.

Limited control
It does heat OK. The problem is with the programming. Frost mode is preset to 7C, Comfort temp can be set but eco is preset to be 4C below your comfort setting. Program 1&2 modes are preset and inflexible, OK if they suit your needs but always in either comfort or eco mode and to a factory defined schedule, not good for your electricity bill. P3 is complicated and still only allows control over frost, comfort, eco times but only with the preset temperatures you selected for each.If you want flexible control over time and temp a basic convector heater and a decent plug-in thermostat/timer would deliver that better and at a lower cost.Worst of all, as far as I can see, if the mains power goes off this heater won't restart in a heating mode. Suppose you left it in Frost mode to keep the chill of a seldom used room and there was a power-cut, you would need to manually switch it back to a heating mode when the power comes back. That might be a minor problem if you were home and KNEW there was a power cut but what about an often empty holiday home? My advice: buy a different heater.
