How thick is the plastic?

It's pretty thick and very durable. I walk through this door at least 25 to 30 times a day. Now that my husband is working from home as well he does too. We're using it as a temp door for my office as we don't want to heat the whole house during the day. It's a great product.

Can you see through the door curtain?

The curtain is opaque. Light from one side will filter into the next, so if you are sitting in the dark and the light is on in the other room you will be able to see around your darkroom. You will be able to see that someone is standing on the other side of the curtain because you can see shadows, but you won't be able to make out much else.

Is this fire resistant?
