I am writing this to warn others about the poor service and questionable safety advice from AE. I purchased a replacement battery for my son’s RC car, which turned out to be faulty (confirmed by their own advisor via a voltage check). The process was unnecessarily complex, requiring me to buy additional chargers and adapters. I only opened and plugged in the latest charger at the direct request of an AE advisor to help diagnose the battery issue. Once the battery was confirmed as defective, I naturally tried to return the now-unnecessary charger. However, a staff member named Alan has refused a full refund, claiming the item is "used" simply because I followed their instructions to test their own faulty product. Even more concerning: another advisor suggested I try charging the battery on a NiMh setting to "fix" it. After researching this, I found this is a major fire hazard for this type of battery. Giving such dangerous advice to a customer with a young child in the house is unacceptable. I am now being left out of pocket for a charger I don't need, all because I received a faulty product from them in the first place. Avoid this company if you value fair returns or safety.
