I try to take turmeric in some form every day, usually plain organic powder that I add to my breakfast smoothie and my nut butters. My instincts told me these would be good for me and I do want to take more steps to decrease overall inflammation in my body. And I've never had a negative result from taking too much turmeric. So I'm glad I ordered these. For a capsule so large (see pic next to penny), they are surprisingly easy to swallow. I also like the fact that the fillers & extra ingredients are few, not that toxic, and non-GMO. They also have no taste or smell. Since I've only been taking them sporadically for a short time, I really can't tell if they're working (I once read that it takes like 3 months for a vitamin to yield results, but in my experience it's much shorter with herbs and the like). But one thing I've noticed is that I've had absolutely no stiffness in my hands lately. I like taking these and I trust how I feel when I take supplements. These pills have a good vibe and I probably will order them again. I just wish they had bottles with more than 30 pills and that they weren't so expensive.

I have been taking this brand for around 6 years now with great success. This is one of the most trusted brands of astaxanthin there is. However, this is the first time taking one of their supplements with tumeric mixed in as well. I already take a tumeric supplement daily so the idea of being able to combine the two peaked my interest. The first thing I will mention is that I recommend doubling up on the serving size with this supplement. If you take the recommended 1 capsule serving size, you are only receiving 6 mg of astaxanthin and 530mg of tumeric, which is only half of the optimal amount you should be taking per day in order to see noticeable results, regarding decrease in inflammation and other ailments one would use this for. This may be suitable for you if you only want to use this as more of a daily maintenance, however. Its all in how you intend on using I supoose. I am happy that they included 5 mg of black pepper with each serving. This helps your body absorb the beneficial properties and it helps your body to make better use of it, optimizing your results. Bottom line: This is an excellent high quality supplement but you may get more from your money if you take these 2 ingredients separately instead of combining them into this one supplement. If you intend on doubling up on the serving size, this will only supply you with 15 servings. That will get pricey over the long run.

I use it in conjuction with glucosamine and chondroitin and have had a lot of relief from arthritic joint pain. This product is unique in that it also contains turmeric. Turmeric has been getting a lot of press for working well on inflammation. The price is pretty high for this, but that is pretty standard for astaxanthin products, in my experience. Like the addition of turmeric. Will continue using this to see if the turmeric makes much of a difference in my joint pain over time. Hope this was helpful.

Nutrex makes some of the best astaxanthin in the world (produced in Hawaii). This astaxanthin + turmeric supplement is great, but could be a bit better. The formulation: **6mg Astaxanthin - Decent dosage, but I prefer 12mg, as that is what I would consider "full strength" **530mg Curcumin- Nice dosage of curcumin, but could be higher. It's also just regular curcumin extract, and not a special form like Meriva or Longvia **5mg Bioperine - Increases curcumin absorption 20x Thoughts: It's definitely a high quality astaxanthin supplement, and the formulation is good - but it definitely could be better. I see no reason to buy this instead of just a full strength 12mg astaxanthin supplement, and a better curcumin supplement separately. Curcumin + bioperine is fine, but it doesn't compare to highly bioavailable forms like Longvida, Meriva, BCM95, etc

This supplement contains turmeric extract, astaxanthin, and black pepper extract (to improve absorption of the turmeric extract). For some reason, the label isn't accurate on the amazon page. It contains 530 mg of standardized turmeric extract (95% curcuminoids), 6 mg of astaxanthin, and 5 mg of black pepper extract per softgel. This will function as a turmeric and astaxanthin supplement for those of us who take both. Turmeric is great for dealing with inflammation, and I take it every day since I am a runner and work out almost every day. Astaxanthin is a powerful carotenoid that can improve skin health, and eye health, and has a variety of other benefits. Overall, this is a good supplement. Nutrex is a great brand, and their website states they do third-party testing. This is a powerful supplement combination.
