Most of the book presents step-by-step guides to different tricks, after a short general introduction to bike components and safety equipment. I can see that this guidance on tricks could be really useful and inspirational for those wanting to improve their skills, and I would highly recommend to that audience. There are also some useful tips on things like how to bail from , and dangers to be aware of, for a particular trick However, as a mid-life crisis novice with poor co-ordination skills, it's all rather daunting. Only one double page is devoted to building up very basic confidence and skills. Also (and remembering my position, so I might be wrong here) the ordering of tricks seems a little random, especially in the "easy" category. Perhaps some sort of rating system would be useful in a future edition? So in summary, a book for those with at least some skill rather than the complete beginner.
