I've had this camera connected to my car for a couple of months now. Connection was simple. I used the license plate bracket and ran the wire behind my tail light fixture. It only takes a pair of pliers to connect the wires to your reverse lights. The reciever is suctioned to my windshield and plugged into a multiplug lighter adapter. It picked right up, no connection required.The picture is clear during the day as well as at night. I have had no failures or problems with it.Adjusting the angle of the camera was the hardest part. I recommend having someone or something behind you at a set distance to help you get the camera angled for your vehicle.Over all, this was a great and easy addition for my older vehicle. Installation only took about 15 minutes.

Just installed the Yuwei rear view camera behind an Airstream Sports 16 using included bracket for license plate. I connected the camera to the running light above the license plate allowing for continuous video. The towing vehicle is a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The monitor in the Honda gives very clear video of the back of the Airstream while driving 60 MPH. Sellers were very courteous and prompt answering my question regarding the camera did feel a bit hot after about 1 hour. They do not think that it is a problem. I do recommend this product.

We installed this on the license plate holder of our Aliner camping trailer. Due to the height of the trailer we can't use our Outback's rear view mirror. Based on recommendations of other Aliner owners we decided to install a rear view camera. Friends of ours specifically recommended this one. They recently took a two month trip cross country, and reported satisfaction with the camera. They mounted the monitor on the dash of their Outback. They had difficulty viewing the image in the monitor from time to time due to glare. I purchased a Weather Tech Cupfone with extension. My husband mounted the monitor on the cupfone to eliminate the intermittent glare issue. We used the camera for the first time yesterday as we started a two month trip. My husband said his only complaint is that when the camera is exposed to bright sunlight the monitor screen darkens, and so is hard to read. Mainly, we are very pleased, and think this device will prove useful almost all the time.

I have purchased other units similar to this before. This is superior to any of them. The quality and performance is excellent. The package contains a variety of camera mounting brackets allowing you to choose which is best for your application. I found the monitor very clear. It also allows you to turn off the parking brackets. Built in transmitter and receiver make for a very easy installation.What really sold me on this wireless camera system was the ISO9001-2015. This approval does not come easy. It takes dedication , a positive attitude and team work within the organization regarding quality control of materials ,assembly and performance of the finished product . Relatively easy to install (some minor "adaptation" of the brackets might be necessary for your vehicle -- I installed on the left-rear license plate of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, FYI -- see photo), and a voltmeter is nice to confirm the wiring, of course. But the camera and screen look GREAT, and the wireless connection is 5 BARS & amazing, even at highway speeds. Very happy with this purchase! NB: I installed using the 'headlight' power vs. the reverse-light power, i.e., so that I can turn on the camera anytime I choose (vs. just w/ the vehicle in Reverse gear). The only issue there -- the white LEDs are FAR too bright for night use -- hence the red paint on the LEDs seen in the photo. I found that my reverse lights provide sufficient lighting to reverse at night w/o the incremental LED light anyway. Also -- the "OK" button on the screen unit was INOP when I received the kit (making it impossible to make any changes to the settings), so Amazon had to send me a replacement...very easy to swap that out, of course.

I HAD A NEWER CAR THAT HAD A BACKUP CAMERA AND DUE TO UNFORSEEN PROBLEMS HAD TO GIVE IT UP.I HAD ENJOYED USING THE BACKUP CAMERA FOR TRAILER HOOKUPS AND AS SECOND SET OF EYES WHEN BACKING UP CAR.AMAZON RATED THIS PRODUCT HIGHLY SO BOUGHT ITEM LAST FALL, WORKS GREAT, EASY SET UP,DOES AS LISTED.THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECIEVED FROM YUWEI THEMSELVES IT WAS EXCELLENT.JUST RECENTLY THE SYSTEM HAD ISSUES WITH MOISTURE IN THE LENS , THEY HAVE REPLACED UNIT WITH A NEW ONE AND I SHOULD RECIEVE IT SOON.GREAT CAMERA EVEN GREATER CUSTOMER SERVICE.HIGHLY RECOMEND

Installed it on my 25' RV as a continuous rear view camera. Picture is excellent even when driving at highway speeds. Be sure you have the polarity right or the camera will not function. You will know immediately if you have the wiring right. If you don't get a picture simply reverse the wires. Good value for the camera, receiver and mounts. Very happy with the purchase. It took about an hour to install, but I had to do some drilling on my RV to mount it where I wanted it. I'm sure attaching it to the license plate would be much faster.

The media could not be loaded.  I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 due to good customer service.This camera has a very grainy, dark image in low light. Not usable during low light at all. The bulbs on the camera are working however they look more like regular LED bulbs than infrared. Also, because of the way the license plate mount is designed it raises the camera too high and the tail gate of my truck rests on it.I am returning this camera and hoping to find something that actually works as advertised.

Didn't take long to fit but the monitor only receives a picture for around 5 seconds then goes off saying " no signal" even though when picture is on it shows good signal strength. I have also tried moving the monitor with 50mm of the camera and it still has the same problem , Picture for 5 secs then loss of signal. Spent all afternoon trying to get this thing to work and no joy also no contact from support !

Literally worked for 1 day and stopped working. Emailed support but no reply. So far complete waste of money. Could of bought a cheaper one but thought paying more would ensure a better product.

Overpriced and camera not suitable for cars as it's too big and ugly. Picture quality not great and colour not good. Since have bought a much cheaper one for 39 pounds and am very pleased with it.

This item was returned as thought it was also a sat nav as well as rear view camera
