5 stars because it did what I needed it to and was cheaper than anything else available.It’s ... pretty rough, like honestly the pieces are a mess that barely fit together. but it’s good enough if you’re not a professional and you get what you pay for. And I’m not dropping 700$ for a rigid set when I’m just trying make a shelf. Definitely use cutting oil because there’s no way it’ll last long without it as it cuts very aggressively.Clamp:The clamp mares up the pipe pretty bad, so don’t expect pretty results. And none of the parts line up nicely so you can’t clamp down very securely.Thread dies :If you’ve never used one before, the arrow on the ratchet changes the direction it rotates, which I didn’t understand first so I was trying to use it backwards. Thinking it wasn’t working, I tried to adjust the dies using a pre-made pipe thread. This proved to be absolutely impossible without filing away at the cutouts that hold them because the holes were smaller than the dies. After all that it worked out and you can see the result on half inch pipe in the pic above.I can’t comment to its precision from the factory because I adjusted it before I realized I was using it wrong.Cutter:Worked perfectly, this was the highest quality part of the kit. Just go slow.

vice is cheap made but handy.

I am a retired pipe fitter and find this product hard to work with. I will not purchase this again

When Texas froze over, every place was out of this tool. We where happy to wait the few days it took to get it, even with prime. We mounted it to the work bench and my husband was able to get the pipes fixed the same day.

The second time I used the 3/4" die, the teeth on two cutters broke. This is a piece of junk and I do not recommend it. It was bought for me as a Christmas gift, and I am just now getting to use it. It is beyond the return period, and the person who gave me the gift didn't know about the 3 year or 4 year warranty plan. Further, I tried to contact the seller and cannot find out who it is.

The die does not cut a proper pipe thread with a taper. Will not screw in to a pipe coupling or elbow correctly. Good luck if you buy this. You get what you pay for.
