Color Restorer Dye, Dark Brown

Works great but color match in THE most important thing!
I was trying to get 1 more year out of a leather sofa in our ski condo rental. Looking back on it, we should have been moisturizing and treating the leather every year, but we did not. The leather has gotten really worn in a couple of places and the leather is cracking. I DID NOT expect this product to fix the cracking, but I was hoping to mask the bare spots. I choose RED, but probably should have gone with AUTUMN RED. I knew the sofa was not "wine" color. The colors did not match, but ultimately it did not make a difference, as I just worked the color in, blending where I could. (The sofa looks different colors in different lights, as it is not as orange as in the first pic.) This dye made the sofa look 100% better, and it will give me that extra year of use. I applied the dye and let it dry 24 hours. Then used a leather moisturizer on the entire sofa (I did get some dye coming off on my rag, but not much) After I finished, I sprayed the whole sofa with ScotchGuard protectant (hoping to seal in the dye.) We sat on the sofa while were were there, before and after all the stages, and no dye came off on our clothes once the dye had dried. I do not know what would happen if someone sat on the sofa very wet or covered in snow. If I get any complaints, I will update. This product definitely did the job I wanted it to do. It won't "restore" but it will bring back your color.

Great product!
Totally satisfied with this product. Brought new life to embarrassing worn leather sofa and love seat. My couches are kind of a mahogany/brown. I did a test area and found the mahogany color ok but a little too much on the “chestnut” side ... especially in the sunlight. Soooo, I purchased the wine color and mixed about three parts mahogany to one part wine and the color came out perfect! Prepped services by washing down with warm water and mild dish soap and rinsing with damp cloth. There was one area on my couch which was pretty rough to the touch so I used some fine sandpaper and smoothed it out a little bit and wiped away the dust. After surfaces were clean and dried, I applied the product in four relatively thin layers with a rag, letting each layer dry about 20 to 30 minutes in between. I just used on the areas that were worn while blending it out onto the other areas that were not worn with plenty product left over. I would say two 4 ounce jars would be enough to do an entire couch and loveseat that are slightly worn. I let the surfaces dry about six hours before sitting on them and made sure the product was dry in the creases. Absolutely no color transfer to clothing! After a few days, I noticed that some tiny areas needed another layer or two applied. After doing this, I have had no issues at all.

6 Stars! A WIN!! Order is restored to the Universe.
What sorcery is this? I dumpster dived a leather chair that was- shall we say-distressed. My kids doubted this decision so would not help me carry "one more piece of crap" into the house. I admit- it was ugly. Bad dirty, stained beige- color looked like a polluted cloud over Chernobyl but it *was* leather and had no rips so I hopped on line to see what crafty thing I could do to save it. This product looked promising but perhaps a little hyped. Would a tiny little jar of liquid actually restore my children's faith in my judgement? So I get home after a night of losing at the Casino and sitting in my mailbox is a tiny little jar of Camel Colored Leather Refinish Color Restorer Dye. It's 3 am but I'm a little curious and honestly a little lit, but really need a win- so I pop it open...then read the directions- "apply with sponge applicator"- nope - how about a dry mop refill. And how about I do it in right in the livingroom, no dropcloth and poor lighting? No problem- this stuff is magic- it goes on and bonds immediately- the first coat sunk in the thirsty leather like sunscreen on a hot day. The second coat was truly gratifying. perfect color, rich solid color - scratches gone, and it dried in about 5 minutes. Best part was it looked just as good in the morning- no color transfer just rich wonderful shade that matches the artwork perfectly. So now it's mommy’s chair and anyone caught sitting in does the dishes for a week. - Yes. this is how order was restored at the Roberts' house and possibly the universe proper.

Slight Green Tint In "BONE" Color
Negative: "Bone" color has a slight green tint unlike my leather car upholstery which is referred to as "Bone" but is more of a "Creme", I guess. I used this product for the center armrest and applied it over the ENTIRE armrest for cohesiveness. Positive(s): It seems to work well and is easy to apply. The jury is out how long it will last. The armrest certainly looks better but not an exact match to the rest of the leather upholstery.

Does the trick!
I've used this on my leather chair over the years. One container lasts a very long time, and it works beautifully. The chair looks as good as the day we purchased it.

A perfect product
Buying these products is never a sure thing but for once it turned out to be the right move. I have a leather reclining love seat in dark brown. It was showing wear spots and was looking pretty bad. What could it hurt to try some of this product. I didn’t take any before and after pictures as I should have but I now have a brand new looking piece of furniture. Unbelievable! It turned out beautifully. Absolutely nothing bad about the job this product did. It doesn’t rub off either. Love it!

Never received a refund
I received a refund approval for the manufacturer, however I never received a refund or answer to my inquiry about my refund. I’m not real happy. Beware!
