The build of this tool is so incredibly sloppy that everything wiggles around, even when tightened down. I wanted to like this thing but it's just of extremely low quality. You could make it work if you don't care about being very accurate with your strap widths, but otherwise you should get something else.

It is a pain to use if you’re not careful to cut the hair out of here that works OK, but it is a pain to use

Bought this for my leather work and couldnt get it together very easily. Its not very sturdy at all. If it came with assembly instructions it would probably go a long way. I went to cut into my fresh leather and it wouldnt stay tight.

Good tool to have

I was pretty excited about this tool. I wanted to use it to cut tooling leather into belt strips. I was unable to cut using the supplied blades however. The blades are super thick and the edges are ground on both sides. This creates a wedge shaped blade and the freshly cut leather is wider than the gap it needs to pass through. I was only able to use this item with replacement blades for a different cutter from hobby lobby.

The slide doesn't lock in on the ruler properly making the jig useless.
