EZ-PULLER
Bought this so I don't have to pull a 20+ pound anchor off the bottom in 100+ feet of water. It works great! the only thing that makes this better is a Bigger Ball (bouy). Used a retractable plastic reel to wind on the rope efortlessly (like the one for electric cords) hold 200+ feet of 3/8 nylon. Makes for Easy stowage of all the gear. Anchor up and let the fish come to you.

Sub par hardware
When received the bolt that slides to let rope through/lock rope when pulling the anchor was too tight. Loosened bolt just enough to get it to slide properly so it could work as it was intended to and upon the first pull of the anchor the bolt had come completely off of the retriever and is now sitting at the bottom of the river. Item is now useless until finding a new bolt that will fit correctly. No idea why they wouldn't use nylock nuts or a small cotter pin or something to keep from losing the hardware. Get the hardware figured out and I would give 5 stars cause it's made from durable material and would probably last a long time and work as it should if you can keep the bolt from falling out.

It's good and gets the job done.
Sturdy works well no problems. I've put it through the paces and had no problems yet holds up well. I tortured tested it with a stuck Crab trap and pulling as hard as my outboard could and it didn't break.

Great idea !
Sadly we’ve only had one opportunity to use the lifter so far this season . Happily , it worked exactly as we expected - it certainly beats having to lift an anchor from 170 ft in Lake Superior .
