The Christmas Story

True Christmas Story!
Beautifully illustrated, simple story line. The books (2) were in impeccable condition and the seller very carefully packed them separately so they arrived in pristine condition. As for the naysayers who complain they are too Mary, no Mary, no Christ. For those disgruntled by the picture of Mary placed on a throne holding the Divine Infant, if He is King, she is Queen Mother.

A Classic
This beautifully-illustrated book has not changed since its first printing. My granddaughter will be reading the same sweet story I grew up with, which makes me very happy. I can't wait to share with her the true meaning of Christmas!

My Favorite Christmas Book
When I was little this Book was part of my life. I loved going through its Pages even if they were all ripped up because I did not control my own Strength. The Painted Illustrations are masterpieces as if one was in a Holy Gallery. The tale in how Mary was visited by the Archangel Gabriel and her betrothed to Joseph is told beautifully. It does not cover Joseph believing that Mary was not true to him and him being made to understand the Truth by the Angel, or the tale of Zachariah and Elizabeth and Mary journeying to see Elizabeth and Elizabeth's son being to be named John.Well that is for those ready to read The Children's Bible and know about John The Baptist.Herod is mentioned in detail minus his slaughters. The Three Wise Men are the highlight of the storyline in the beauty of the artwork. Them journeying to Bethlehem and the way the town is portayed in the art is wondrous. The Shepherds and The Angels are also shown in a beautiful setting and especially in how the Angels trumpet Glory To God on High. The book ends with Jesus of Nazareth standing on a hill holding a Lamb as an infant, in a perfect setting as a masterpiece.
