Tossed in some walnuts and no one could believe these came from a box. Always have to make 2 boxes at the same time. Yummy.

I love Krusteaz muffin and bread mixes and used them all of the time, so when we had a carry-in recently at work I picked up a box of this mix as it was on sale and for having the chips in it, was a great price.I only had glanced at what was needed on the back to be sure I had what was needed at home - 1 egg and an entire stick of butter or margarine, which is a lot of butter for a box mix of cookies.I dropped by heaping tablespoons on baking parchment and it made about 2 dozen cookies. While they did look like home baked cookies, the taste was a little off and although a few people liked them, I had a lot left over, which usually never happens.In checking online one site that had tried the mix suggested and 1/2 -1 cup of flour to the mix, melt the butter to liquid before mixing in then adding additional chocolate chips after mixing, but have not tried that, but it sounds like a more typical chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Had a very salty flavor. Not balanced. Had much higher hopes.
