Great techniques for kids
This book is wonderful. I read it with my 4 and 5 year olds, who don’t often know what to do about their big emotions. I’m a teacher and I might try to use it in class too! The illustrations are lovely and I love the diversity of the characters!

Emotional Regulation AT ITS BEST!
I loved the visuals from this book! It breaks down what each sense does and how it helps ground ourselves providing much needed relaxation in moments of stress, anxiety, or when we just need a little more emotional regulation. I love that the characters of the book are REAL KIDS THAT ARE CULTRUALLY DIVERSE WITH REAL FEELINGS THAT NEED REAL OPTIONS to deal with their emotions. Life is meant to have a wide range of positive and negative emotions. Even when too excited, some kids, like mine, need coping skills and strategies! Author Dr. Melissa Boyd shared in detail how to just do manage in a safe, healthy, and easy to understand way for young minds. My son is 11 and loves ALL of Dr. Melissa Boyd's books for good reason, they are meaningful and relatable. I love her books because they help me teach my autistic child about the world around him and that it is okay to have feelings, but it is also ok to know how to manage them. Grounding techniques using the senses is one of my favorite techniques as an adult with anxiety, but I never have seen a way to share this with my child until now. YOU NEED THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE A PARENT! TEACHERS NEED THIS BOOK! ALL LIBRARIES NEED THIS BOOK! Thanks Dr. Melissa Boyd for yet ANOTHER amazing book!

Perfect to help little ones find their calm.
I love this book! As a mother to a highly sensitive child and another with ADHD we are always talking about ways to find our calm, our grounding point. The author did a beautiful job providing wonderful tools for little ones and their grown ups whenever they need help regulating their big feelings. And she did all this in rhyme. I highly recommend this picture book!

The complexity yet innocence found within a children's book will always amaze me. This read was quick and easy, but utterly powerful at the same time. I love reading to my children, especially when it's something meaningful and worthwhile.

Very helpful in clinical practice
This book is extremely helpful when working with children in my clinical practice. It is easy for children to understand, and so far my children have been very engaged especially when introducing grounding techniques.

Great For All the People
This is such a cute book. The illustrations are adorable and the ideas are a great way to get kids thinking about how they can control their emotions (or how they respond to them). I found it helpful for me to remember some of the ways we can calm our minds when we get stressed or worried. Great job!

practical and grounding
A fun book to introduce mindfulness and grounding techniques to your child. I liked the examples to help children understand the principles.

cute book and illustrations
I liked the illustrations and rhyming paragraphs. The idea of the book is great for children to help manage their feelings. I do feel the layout is long winded and I’m not a fan of introducing children to words such as stress etc. however a great concept and really great effort!
