Libbey Crisa Impressions 16-Ounce Cooler Glass, Box of 12, Clear

Really like these. Very nice looking and functional. But delicate for shipping. Ordered twice, and both times one of six arrived broken. First time I was able to get a replacement glass. Second time, Amazon made it impossible to get thru to the seller.

We originally bought these glasses at Crate and Barrel when we got married 13 years ago. In the ensuing years the inevitable accidents and breakages have happened and we bought a different style of replacements - which we grew to hate!The replacements were very pretty, but were thin glass that broke easily. They were a lovely shape that tapered slightly to the top, which also meant they were bottom-heavy and fell over in the dishwasher. I commonly found broken glasses after a cycle. I was very pleased to be rid of them.I am so pleased that these are still being made! We didn't need the small rocks/juice glasses, as we still have plenty left from the original purchase. It was very nice to be able to buy just the water glasses.They arrived well-packaged and with no breakage.Pros: These are a good size for water/tea/sodaThe shape is distinctive and handsomethe glass is thick and sturdythe extra-thick base makes them very stable and difficut to knock overthe "pinches" make the glass easy to grasp and hold, even with wet handsthey stand up nicely in the dishwasher without falling overCons:The bottom is indented, so that water pools during the dishwashing cycle. I mop them out with a sponge before unloading.Overall I love these glasses and was very pleased to re-plenish my supply.

I love the design of the glasses. Actually own some and wanted to get more 16 oz glasses. The seller sent the wrong size.Returning them for refund. Correct product was not offered.

I have had the ‘Impressions’ cooler glasses for quite some time and like the contemporary design and how the glass fits in one’s hand due. I have had three glasses break out of countless uses just above the thick bottom when I poured cold beer into the glass in a vertical position on a table (which is not the correct way for pouring beer, I know)! I attribute this behavior, and perhaps the breakage in dishwashers reported by others, to the effect of intrinsic stresses in the transition from the thick bottom to the thin walls in the production process. I have had no breakage in the dishwasher at “normal”. The calcium deposits in the slightly concave bottom after the ‘dry’ cycle can be removed with vinegar. When I’m close by I wipe off the standing water when the dry cycle starts.In spite of the minor squawks mentioned here and by others, I will continue buying this design because of the looks and the feel combined with low-enough costs.

Attractive everyday water/tea glasses. Not so thick and industrial as most that I see in stores. I've been using these glasses (and buying replacements for ones I break) for 10 years. My one caveat is that they are not superstrong. I've even had them break from ice dropping down into them in the ice/water dispenser of a high-end refrigerator. Doesn't happen often, but this one refrigerator I've owned has broken maybe 3 or 4 of these glasses that way. Still, I'll keep using them and buying replacements as needed.

I have glasses that I got that look a lot like these except MINE are 16 Ounces (2 cups) these are NOT 16 ounces they are 1 and 1/2 cups I poured water into mine poured that into a glass measuring cup that the wife uses for baking MINE went to 2 cups these only made it to 1 1/2 cups so that is more like12-14 ounce.I showed my wife I poured water into my glass then poured it into this glass and kept pouring while that one was over filled and spilling out over the sink.

I have beeen using this design of glassware for over twenty years. This is my third purchase of a dozen of the 16 oz glass size. I have all three sizes. I like the dimples in the glass that make it easy to grip that promotes slip proofing. The bad news is that thes glasses break easily in the dish washer, never any place else so far.The indentation in the glass bottoms collest washer wwater so you will have to hand dry the bottoms or collect underside water stains after a while.

I replaced my old glasses, which were the same as these new ones because of a film over time developing on the glass. These new ones are doing the same. After a time, the glasses have a terrible film overall on them and have to be thrown away. I think the only reason for this is that the glass material is cheap. I have other glasses I've had for years and they are crystal clear!
