It's tiny and it works. Interesting as a curiosity, but kinda useless as a musical instument.
As mentioned in the title, the tiny size is pretty impressive. And it works the way a theremin is supposed to work. However, despite having 40+ sounds, they all pretty much sound the same. The biggest drawback is that this unit is pretty useless as a musical instrument. Frequency control over the notes is way to erratic - you get a 1 octave range within 2-3 cm of the antenna, and then a 2 octave jump in the last cm. A range / sensitivity adjust exists - but all it does is lower the bottom note of the range and you still get that same awful jump in tone near the antenna. I wasn't expecting a miracle from this little gadget, but I think a smooth range of musical notes is the bare minimum requirement.

Una joya. Manejando bien las frecuencias y filtrandolo con efectos externos es una maravilla.

Actual theremin but lacks some needed features
As the seller states, the antenna on this device are small (in order to keep it compact). Larger antenna would give better control, but it does have both volume and frequency antennas and it does work, although the hardware interface requires some tinkering to understand how it works. Essentially, one antenna controls volume level and the other controls frequency, with louder/higher output the closer your hand is to the antenna. You can choose from probably over 100 baseline sample settings, from straight pitch/frequency to more complex ones that emulate traditional Chinese and other instruments, including those that limit output to musical note tones. It has the full principle of a complete theremin, but lacks echo/reverb/tremolo /fade effects that are necessary to be a complete theremin. Considering the size, which is not much larger than a man's wallet, it's a great value for theremin fans. I think if you could connect it to a mixer app, you could get a full theremin using this device. Haven't used it much so cannot speak for how long it will last, but electronic subcomponents appear well connected (soldered) and mosfets have appropriate heat sinks. I like the clear cabinet which allows you to see much of the electronic components without disassembly.
