Too wide, I could not use them - Had to return
6pcs ESP8266 NodeMCU LUA CH340 ESP-12E WiFi Internet Development Board 4M FlashI wish I had read the reviews before ordering instead of just looking at the avg stars. As soon as I tried to put one in a solderless breadboard I knew these were not going to work for me. They are about 7mm wider than the other 8266 modules I have been using. They are so wide that there is no room left to plug in any leads on the breadboard. If I gang two breadboards together the legs don't line up. After discovering this I went back and checked the reviews and sure enough, it was right there for me to read, other people reporting the same problem. I also found out about the inability to run these from a power supply on the pins rather that the micro USB, which my application needs, though I could not confirm this problem due to the size problem. I like the price but it's irrelevant if I can't use the MCU. I am giving it three stars instead of one because they show a picture with the true dimensions, 31mm wide, about the size of a Range Rover. I deserve one star for not doing my homework.

work great.
used with my Christmas lights. work great. WLED made it easy.

Difficult to use with solderless breadboard without a hardware hack
Very cost effective. Biggest negative is the width of the board. My solution is to use a hacksaw to cut a breadboard (e.g. REXQualis 6PCS Small Breadboard 400 Point Solderless) down the middle to spread it out. This is the LoLin flavor board vs the AMICA flavor that is also available on Amazon. I have used them both if you keep in mind the differences (all minor): AMICA is one row narrower on a breadboard, uses different USB driver, and AMICA has extra LED on board that you can play with. I would rate it 5 stars if not for the extra width which is a really, really bad design decision as it is a development board but cannot be used with common solderless breadboard without a literal hack.

Perfect
Bought these to install WLED. Works great. Have had no issues with these at all. Yes the antenna is small, just like every ESP8266 - that being said, they work fine.

Great value with all the pie and arduino stuff so hard to come by
Came quick and a great value for a very handy IoT module!

Missing Micro Component to allow external power Supply instead of Micro Power Connection
I really like these boards since its so easy to program LED WS2811 lights. Unfortunately the batch of ESP8266 NodeMCU's I received was missing a component that allows for external power supply. The only way I was able to turn them on was by connecting the Micro connection to a 5VDC power supply. The application I need it for requires me to use Pins Vin and G on the board. When I do this the board will NOT power up. On the web site it shows a picture of the MCU with this component on it but when I received them they did not. I spent hours on troubleshooting it thinking it was my wiring but it all came back to the MCU. That's when i inspected each component and found that component missing. I hope this helps others out. Other wise the MCU will work only with a Micro connection Power supply.

This is the best ESP8266 board. It works well and has no issues like other boards.
Always works and is easy to program
