High quality, pure beeswax. Easy to use, the sheets warm up to your hands and is simple to cut to size if needed and simple to roll out! It's a soothing, peaceful project for ages 3 on up! Any age benefits from rolling their own candles! My children love rolling beeswax candles for our dining room table, especially around the holidays! The pure beeswax cleans the air and smells fresh, burns clean (meaning no smoke and when it's gone it's gone--there is no wax left behind!). I pretty much only burn beeswax candles because they're good for you and are so easy to clean up after. The wick is cotton. You can make all sizes and variety of candles to fit various candle holders! The quality is so good! I spent a lot of time researching to find this brand and I will buy again! We like to make tapers with it.

I got this candle kit for my elementary class for a Thanksgiving craft, and it was lovely and easy to use. Children got to make their own candles to take home for their Thanksgiving tables. Our class includes children from ages 6 to 11 and none of them had worked with beeswax before. With just a bit of modeling beforehand, all were able to independently make candles they were proud to take home! Added bonus: beeswax candles have a lovely subtle honey scent when burned! The kit includes a nice variety of colors and all the wick you'll need for 20 taper candles. (Just cut each sheet in half, as per the instructions, to make tapers.) You could also make different sizes and styles if you cut the wax differently--there's a great variety of beginner-friendly YouTube videos on how to make other styles. The only thing else you might want to use with this kit is a hairdryer--doing a quick sweep of the sheet with a hairdryer before rolling your candles makes it even easier. We also used some little shaped clay cutters (Kemper Pattern Cutters) to cut out some decorative pieces of wax (just press cut shapes to the taper and your body heat is enough to affix them), but the candles were pretty even without this extra detail. If you want children to think about where the wax comes from and how it is made, you might want to read a book like The Beekeeper Man before you start your candle making. This kit, though a bit pricey, is competitively priced with other beeswax candle kits given the number of candles it makes.

I bought this for my son's birthday party. There was plenty to go around! Everything that was meant to be included was there. The colors are beautiful, and the wax sheets were easy to roll and smelled lovely. Best of all, it's undeniably real beeswax! The wick is plain cotton and burns fine. I prefer beeswax-coated wick because I find it burns better, but it's not a huge drawback, just a personal preference.

I saw this suggested for a solstice pre Christmas activity for kids and thought it sounded lovely. This was my second year in a row to order and wanted to write a review about how simple, but lovely, this is. It comes as sheets of delicious smelling beeswax and cotton threading for the wicks. You roll it to desired width. You can cut the length down by scoring with a bread knife. Then you have beautiful candles that aren't overwhelming with a strong scent, in whatever size you want. Makes excellent gifts as well. My only issue is the price. I paid for it twice, so obviously I believe in the quality of it and understand quality usually costs more. But i do wish it were a little less expensive, I would happily buy more.

One of the sheets came majorly cracked but we used for creative designs around other candles. Beautiful, versatile, easy to make (for adults and big kids, toddlers needed help) and burns well. Would buy again

Great kit for miscellaneous wax projects. I used it to make candles with my 2 and 5 year old. The sheets are decent size and are well made. I just added a wick to the center of the sheet while they were rolling it and that it. Just add the wick, roll it up and light it. Simple to use and does not crack like other sheets I have tried. The wax burns slowly and seems to last just as long if not longer than a traditional store bought candle. I love all the different colors.

Super easy and super pretty! Was able to make around 9 Christmas presents with it. (One sheet was tester/let my toddler do one and each person got two candles). Which came around $4 per person for a beautiful Christmas present that looks like a $25 gift.

Item is okay, but 3 times already it's been delivered broken and smashed into pieces.
