Gold Key: Alliance

Read about various incarnations of various Gold Key characters getting together to stop a mad version of Doctor Solar from destroying all of reality. Oh yeah there spoilers here. Overall I liked this book the art and story I think are good.

Starts out well enough, but spirals out of control and ends abruptly.

I bought this book for two reasons: Phil Hester, and Turok. I have been a fan of Hester's since my first comic convention where I picked up a Green Arrow book he did with Parks and got hooked on the Hester/ Parks run of GA. When I heard he had written a team up book with Turok in it I knew I had to pick it up. I had been reading some other Turok books, trying to get boned up on the character so this would be a perfect addition. I knew absolutely nothing about the other characters from Gold Key but found them all quite interesting! The story and art were both well done and I found myself quite invested in characters and a universe I knew basically nothing about prior to picking up this book. Bravo.

A great read and thoroughly enjoyed the various characters. I wish there was more of a lead up to this, as it feels like a conclusion to a series that never happened.That being said, it was a great intro to characters I didn't know before.
