The combination of EVO 870 2TB and AndyCine Lunchbox II have solved my unreliable recording issues. Many of the "approved" media for the Atomos Ninja V is hard to find, discontinued, and very expensive. I've found the best solution so far is this unit. It's half the price of AtomX and is in a smaller form factor. It's very fast and simple to assemble.

First off this product is genius. Love the design, build, etc. Just two things you need to follow:1. You will need 2 screws that you remove from the SSD.2. DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED TOOL BECAUSE IT WILL STRIP THOSE SCREWS.Would of been better to not supply the tool at all. I'm lucky that I was able to still make it work.

I bought this in the hopes of installing a SSD in it and plugging it into the ninja 5. This hard shell works perfectly for that purpose. The most difficult thing I’ve experienced with this SSD is finding a cable that connects it to my computer. Very solid, easy to prepare for using, the combination of this item with Samsung 870 EVO is much better and less expencive (1 TB $85 vs 1TB $350) for using with Ninja V+ than Angelbird AtomX. It also wins with speed.

It's very compact and looks great! Perfectly matches the new Ninja Ultra. Even smaller in size than the original Atomos SSD and also more attractive!

Easiest and cheapest way to get more storage for your Ninja V!

I do not recommend this adapter unless you want to break your Ninja V’s SATA port. They apparently did not machine the aluminum properly where the Samsung EVO 870 sits. The case is offset just enough where it mates to the Ninja V SATA port misaligned and forces the Ninja V port to the side. The case cover is also too wide so it’s hard to slide it into the Ninja V. In my opinion form over function fail, one of the pull tabs is way too small to get a finger to grip so you have to resort using the other side which still makes for an awkward grip. Pulling out the drive it tends to come out binding sideways. This is a cheaper alternative to the expensive compact versions recommended for the Ninja V bit I think the OEM ones are simpler design and fit better.
