Great for smart active young dogs.
I got this for a 7 month old puppy I was fostering, 50 pounds, mixed breed and it was perfect! He just flipped the slow feeders, but needed one, he ate too fast and got the hick-ups. This was the best solution. Food crumbs get under the bottom, but it's easy to clean. My only concern is that a stronger dog could probably break the clear plastic lid part? And it gets scratched by their nails ( this puppy had short nails and it still scratched it), so eventually it will be cloudy, but I am not sure the dog cares about a crystal clear view of the food inside! I would buy it again. The dog was VERY clever and this was a fun way to feed him. He solved other complex outward hound games, this was just for a fun, slow feeding time. Its quiet, and a good value for the money.

My dogs love this ball but it is going a bit oval and misshapen after hours of play. They haven't broken it yet though and my bully plays with it hard.

Nice starter puzzle to introduce your dog to the concept
It was a great puzzle to introduce my 6 month old Havanese to, but it is kinda difficult to fill. You have to place the treats or kibble just right to be able to put the little cups over it. He solved it pretty quick, but it is a nice toy to break up the boredom of feeding him from just a bowl. He chewed on some of the pieces, but they are thick and sturdy. This is a great starter though. We moved him on to one of the level 2 puzzles pretty quickly after using this one for a little while, and we just started him on the level 3, since he had been solving the level 2 pretty proficiently for a while now. We will give him this one to break things up and shuffle the puzzles around to keep his interest in them. He got bored with his kibble and wouldn't eat until we introduced games, now it gives him a nice brain tease which he enjoys. He doesn't scarf down his food too quickly, but it would be great for a dog that does to help slow them down!

I'm not a dog and I still can't figure out how to use the damn thing!
We got this thing on the recommendation of a friend. It shows up and we're stupid happy about it, cause of course, we adore our pupper... We put the few treats into some 'holes' at first, and didn't use the blocks. The doggie nosed the thing and it swiveled like it's supposed to, so pupper happily ate up all the treats in the span of 72 seconds. She seemed a tad bored with the idea so we decided to use the white blockers, as recommended, to make it harder. And here's where we realized that we are just not mechanically inclined enough to figure out a bloody dog toy. The trays are still supposed to spin OVER the white blocks, except they just bloody don't, because the blocks are too tall. Hubby and I stared at the damn thing, looked at the instructions (which are minimal to non-existent for that part of the puzzle), and we tried over and over to make it work. To no avail. So the puzzle is currently being used as an occasional treat dispenser. Pupper loves it just fine, but not to play with, as well, there's pretty much no effort involved in recovering the treats. Half the time she just gives us that look: "Just give me the damn treats! I know where they are, and it's just stupid to make me nose the thingie to get them. How 'bout I just sit pretty for yah? Yep, like that. Ok. Look at me. Sitting. Pretty. Treaaaaat!"

Expensive milk bone
This toy didn’t last long enough to take a picture of it being destroyed. Certainly a dog bone would have lasted longer. Squeaky toys usually get demolished fast, most toys don’t get demolished that fast. This one did.

Very good game, senior dog and young puppy approved
This review is for the level 1 "hide, seek & treat". First I'm going to list the cons: It's plastic, and will eventually be chewed up, and by eventually I mean we have 5 large breed dogs, nothing is chew proof. This is a very thick composite material, so it should hold up longer than most toys. Thats it. Thats the only thing I could think of as a con for this item. 2 of our large breed dogs are seniors, and our other 3 are almost 4 months old. We introduced this game to the dogs one at a time. Within 2 hours, all 5 dogs had a chance at it. Our 11 year old son was able to help his young pup figure it out very quickly. Teaching them was easy and went as follows: First, we put one of their favorite training treat in each space hidden by the tubes. This helped them figure out how it works, and to look for a treat when they pull the tube. As soon as they would pull a tube they wanted to chew on it. So we caught their attention with the treat they exposed, then pulled the tube out of their reach. After that we placed only one treat in one cup while the rest are empty and replaced the tubes. All but one of the young pups are still figuring out the correlation between smelling the treat and finding it under that tube. The best thing I love about this item, is that our senior dogs love it, its hard to catch their interest sometimes. We will definitely be buying more of the puzzles by this brand.

A puzzle for humans and dogs
I really like this brand of puzzles (I have 3 of them) especially since I know how good puzzles are for your dog’s brain. With this particular puzzle design, I was annoyed at first how hard it was to put treats in it, but now that we have figured out a few tricks for that (see below), this one is really fun for my dogs because it is the most challenging one. Trick 1: Turn the pegs upside down and set them in the base so the open part is face up and fill the open hole with treats. Give to your dog with the open part exposed. This is extra hard because they have to pull out the peg and knock it around to get the treat out. Trick 2: Use cardboard or something rigid to flip the whole setup puzzle upside down so you can remove the base with the pegs in position, fill them with treats, then put the base back on top of the pegs and use the cardboard to flip the whole thing back right side up. 1. Set the pegs up in the base as intended. 2. Put a piece of cardboard on top of the pegs fully covering the top. 3. Hold the cardboard tightly to the top and tightly hold the base pinning the pegs between the two. 4. Flip it all over and set it on a counter cardboard on the bottom, pegs in the middle, base on top. 5. Remove the base gently as to not change the position of the pegs. 6. Fill the pegs with treats. 7. Put the base back on top with the pegs settled in their holes. 8. Flip it back right side up using the cardboard and the base like you did before. 9. Voila. Give to your dog!

Not for chewers
My Corgi is a breed that thrives on mental stimulation and I hoped this would provide a decent amount of fun for him. He did love chasing it around, but easily managed to manipulate the puzzle ball and removed both the interior tennis ball and treat ball. Unfortunately, he also ate the treat ball: he started chewing it immediately. He also began chewing the opening of the main puzzle, along with figuring out he could carry it around by gripping the opening in his teeth. I wanted something he couldn’t roll under the couch, and this is large enough to prevent that. It is also not that noisy, both in terms of the ball rolling and the quiet squeaky noises. This would be a good toy for a less intelligent dog, and definitely not for a dog that likes to chew. It lasted two days at my house.

Gioco divertente e istruttivo
