This is the perfect consistency. The bark is not too small or large, just right. I highly recommend.

I appreciate that this bark is clean and dry in the bag and that the pieces are reasonably sized so that a few pieces don't take up the whole bag. I've used this brand more than once and potted several orchids and other plants using it. I like to soak the bark in hot water and add other things such as charcoal, perelite, or sphagnum moss, depending on the plant, but this bark had been a good base. They are doing very well.

I use this with sphagnum moss to pot my orchids. The pieces are small but the environment is very dry here so this suites my orchids fine.

It’s good orchard bark but it’s very small and thin pieces. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d recommend it.

Works great added to my mix! I recently started mixing my own indoor potting soil and use orchid bark, charcoal, and fox farm soil for my plants. My plants are *thriving*. It’s probably a combination of all 3 and I was holding my breath that I’d kill them but they’re rocking it. This orchid is the perfect additive; it’s not too thick but not too thin. Gives my plants the perfect amount of space to get their air in the soil.

I orderer an 8 quart bag on orchid bark, disappointing to see its under 6 quarts. No perlite like in the product photo, which I'm glad there isn't since I'm mixing this with my own potting soil. Nice and small pieces of bark.

My first time using this type of substrate for my plants. It seems like my plants love it. My silverband maranta definitely loves it and has put out a lot of new growth. I actually repotted a few Hoyas with this and added some bark (from the same company) and perlite to make it chunky and they seem to love it too! Just wish you get more for your money.
