I purchased these motion sensor lights in an effort to light up the side of my house where my rear gate is to allow for better safety and security. I had reviewed several brands prior to taking a chance with these. They were reviewed highly so my expectations were high. They arrived well packaged and wrapped, with a pretty well written user manual (more times than not, this is not a true statement). I read through the manual and got the lights set where I thought they would work best. They also come with extra parts to give you multiple mounting options. It was later in the day when I got them put in, so they didn't get a full days charge, so I assumed they would only partially work the first day. I was wrong! These lights are a lot brighter than ones that I had tried previously through another major retailer. Even though they received only a partial days charge they worked throughout the night. They have three modes to operate in, bright, low and low to bright with motion. I use the latter and they seem to work well. I believe that mode also helps to reserve some of the battery time. If you need yard spotlights, you will be hard pressed to find a better product. Again, they are VERY bright indeed!

I want to do a quick review. I have had these lights for over 5 years now. This light is bright and is still working great. I don’t except any solar light to last all night but I do want my light to last more than a year. These lights just work and I will be buying more for my new landscaping.

Pictures taken from directly underneath each light and pointed at my animalsI purchased a 2 pack of these apopka New Upgraded 3rd Generation Motion Sensor Solar Spotlight 8 LED Adjustable 3-in-1 Lighting as well as a 2 pack of Hanzion New Upgraded 36 LED Solar Lights.I intended on mounting all 4 lights on top of 6 foot posts in the middle of my pasture to illuminate high traffic areas of fencing. All of the lights receive direct sun 8-10 hours a day and are pointed straight at the ground below them.Day 1- Allowed to fully charged in the off position. After nightfall I tested them in various locations and decided on where to mount them. Was satisfied by the results from all 4 lights. Had a pretty hard time mounting this brand. Had to use my own anchors as the ones provides are flimsy and broke.Day 2- Fully charged in the on position throughout the day. Checked on them 3 hours after nightfall to discover these apopka lights weren't doing anything to illuminate the ground or fence 6 feet below. The weather was clear and in the 70s all day.These lights are just garbage. Maybe if you need a short path lit you could use 10 or so of these but you'd be better off with something else.

Does not hold a charge to keep the light on all night. They typically run out of juice at around 3 or 4 am, so only about 6 or 7 hours of battery. Also do not buy this if you want the motion sensing capabilities. First, even when the motion sensor is turned on, the lights are go from bright to slightly brighter, so it's not like it will go from off to bright based on motion. I was hoping for the motion sensor to turn on the lights, but that is not a feature, again, the lights will always be on and will just get a tad brighter with motion. Second, the motion sensor is pretty bad. It's about a 50/50 whether or not it will sense you even if you walk right in front of it or even wave your hand in front of it up close.Bottom line, ok product if you are just looking for lights, but don't expect them to last all night. They are bright lights, but do not buy if you are primarily purchasing for the motion sensing aspects.

Very bright! This solar light features 2 settings. You have the capability of making it a true motion light meanibg light turns off completely after motion has ceased, or a motion light that stays on low beam until motion is detected, and it comes on full power. I bought these to light up a spider and web I purchased. They were a little pricey as other lights would have been fone for a lower price, but I liked the higher lumens. It lights up the web and the front of the house really good. The motion sensor works ok. I should have purchased it without motion sensor though. The flying bugs cause this thing to go off and on, so I think someone is out there! Haha. The last all night. They come on about 8pm and they are still going at 545 am when I leave. Good product.

*Update: I found a use for this light. Adding another star for a total of 2 stars. I can position it at the sunny end of my travel trailer and shine light back underneath trailer. This may keep the critters from hanging out under trailer at night.PS I’ve received 2 emails from seller offering $30 if I’ll remove my review.Original review:You cannot face light independent of solar panel. If you want panel to face sun, light must face 180 degrees away. Also, motion detection feature only changes light brightness. It does not turn light on and off.

I bought these to go at my front porch. I have a video doorbell that does decent night video but I wanted to be sure there was enough light to see who was there. The lights are nice and bright and do the job great. I use the mode where they come on at night and stay on "low" but then switch to "bright" light with movement. The sensors work well and they detect movement quickly. I like the glow it puts on the house at night. And it also provides enough light to easily see to unlock door if it's dark outside. I had older lights that had to plug in which meant we had cords running though the flower beds and the porch. I like this option much better. Very happy with this purchase.

these lights are more than I expected great range on motion sensors I thought I would need 2 for my front walk way, but 1 is enough. I set this up in the house first to try it out and whenever I ,the dog or cat walked in front of beam on the other sude of 2 rooms the light would go on to the wall of the other room. I sm setting it up today at the far edge of my walkway so it will not only light up the sidewalk but also shine in the house so I know somebody is approaching before they ring the doorbell.
