Endless brain=stimulating fun!
Some kids may need help with help with some of the small components because of the finger dexterity involved, but that's a great excuse to join the fun. Got this for my granddaughter for Christmas and wish I'd gotten one for myself as well! All the Zoob kits are well made and provide hours of brain stimulation as you build bots using their instructions or freestyling, or you can just make things that are more sculpture than robot. As indicated in the box photos, the constructions can be hilarious-looking but they are real moving machines. These are not programmable robots but use pull-back mechanisms to power movement. Parts are sturdy and can be used repeatedly to make a zillion things. It's a good idea to either keep the box for parts storage or use something like a tackle box because bits and pieces tend to spread around and get lost.

Perfect for your little builders!
I ordered this as a Christmas present for my boys. They LOVE it! They really enjoy building (Legos, Mega Blocks, etc) so after much searching for another building type toy for diversity, I settled on Zoobs. We all love the versatility of Zoob pieces because they fit together in so many different ways. We all also really enjoy the movement of the connected pieces, so when they build a figure they can actually move the structure into different positions (unlike Legos or blocks) since Zoob is designed as ball and joint pieces. Articulated figures means re-playability, there's always something new to build and move about in various ways. Also, I have toddlers, and as parents know, toddlers love to stick every possible thing in their mouths. So, I don't worry about Zoobs being forgotten on the living room floor as much as I would Lego pieces. Zoobs are just awesome, of all the Christmas toys, definitely the favorite. I will most certainly order more sets so the kids don't have to deconstruct their creations to build new ones. Highly recommend!

A pretty good toy for a pre-schooler
My four year old has had a lot of fun building with this set. In my opinion, it was not good enough for how much I spent, but she loves it and it's perfect for her ability level. Instructions were too tricky for her but we had fun doing it together. The best part is that you can take it apart and put it back together dozens of ways. She likes to invent her own ways to build the robot.

Affordable set that is durable, sparks creativity and interesting to put together "creations" - starter robotics type toy
My 9 year old and I had a good time building a "robot" type of creation for his Cub Scout assignment. Cool concept for interlocking pieces - - very different "ball and joint" style. We have a zillion Legos in our house between my younger son (9) and older son (11). They're put together on shelves, some in buckets and a general obsession, so it was nice to have something different to create. My older son is on the 5th grade robotics team and they have some REALLY intensive designing and it's not anything like this ... BUT, if you're looking for an inexpensive project and pieces that aren't tiny and annoying to step on (LOL), then this brand is for you! We were able to build it quickly (and forget the directions because they're somewhat confusing if you're the person who feels things MUST FOLLOW DIRECTIONS) LOL If you just want to loosely follow the directions like a guide to somewhat create things in the general neighborhood of the suggested designs, you'll be fine. I like that it has the lighted piece. That's cute! Overall, it's fun, it's durable and not too expensive. Is it as appealing as Legos for my child? No, but he's 9 and a Legomaniac. However, this toy DOES provide more room for creativity. Easier to play with and "create" vs. follow step by step directions to build some branded toy and sit it on a shelf or complain when it falls apart whilst playing and takes forever to fix "exactly as directions show" (UGH). Plus, did I mention this set is AFFORDABLE??! LOL

Fun with Zoob
My 6 and 8 year old boys have been playing with Zoob for the last three years, and this is a fun addition to our collection. They have enjoyed building cars (which can be propelled by pulling back the wheels and letting it go). Yesterday, the car knocked over a foam block tower they built over and over again . . . Zoob is a fun, creative toy. I will add that, YES, we adore legos at our house but this is fun with out all the tiny pieces (although very small kids won't have the strength to snap the pieces together).

another GREAT zoob set!
I got this zoob set as a birthday present for my son. He really likes it. He has built all of the robots and he also uses the wheels to build cars and all sorts of things. The wheels have a "pull back" feature which is really nice. The tires on these wheels come off, which is worth noting as they can get lost (he also has the car designer set which does not have removable tires). I think this is a great addition to a zoob "collection." If you are buying zoobs for the first time I recommend the zoob car designer and then zoob mover.

Hard to do
I found this very hard to put together and I'm 39. Let alone my child figuring it out. The instructions are very hard to follow. Glad I got it on sale because it's not worth more than I paid.

Good pieces... but not exciting
I got this for my 5-year old grandson. I was hoping that he would be as excited about it as the kid on the box seems to be. He is into Legos big time, and I thought this might be a nice change. Maybe I will take them on vacation with us to see if I can get him interested in the set.

I read the reviews on this product from the internet as it was rated the most popular toy for 6 years olds at the time I purchased it, the gift was greatly received and the child loves this toy.
