Are these colors included in the 240 set?

A few are, like wisteria, mint green, Sakura. Not many though they are quite pretty colors. If you look up the holbein pastel pencils color names they are the same names in this set of 50 and they match almost perfectly . I bought this set and I have the 240 set also abd these are a great addition to them. Hope this helps!

These pencils were purchased for one of my 7 year old great nieces for Christmas and she and her parents are very pleased with the pencils. The storage box protects them and keeps them organized. I recommended another niece buy a set of these pencils last month for her daughter’s birthday and she is very happy that she purchased them

are these as soft as prismacolor premiers? I like a slightly harder pencil.

They are not as soft as primacolor premiers. They are harder. I tend to use pressure when working with pencils and these are hard enough to work well for me but still will glide onto paper better than some others. And I can blend with them also.
