I have purchased several of these Shade Sails. My reason for using this product, is that I usually cover my project cars with a car cover and then a Tarp. However, the Tarps don't last long (maybe 3 months) in the sun and tropical climate where I reside. The Last one of these I purchased has been up for going three years. Experience moderate winds, and only developed a tear due to being too close to the car (car's radio antenna digging into it from time to time). Once installed correctly (with room for sagging/stretching due to water) it will last a good time (maybe 3 - 5 years). You have to pitch (angle) two sides to allow proper drainage. Even though it is water permeable, rain water will collect in very heavy down pours.Family and Friends have been so impressed, that I have begun to purchase more and install at there homes to cover the cars in the drive way. I suggest not having more than 12 -24" of line from each install point. If you can directly connect at least two sides to the post/wall (install point), it will be best. Long lines will cause it to flap in the wind, and reduce the life of the unit. There are more heavy duty versions (260g, with stainless steel wire in the hemmed edges), but I don't think those are necessary unless in high wind exposed areas.

It looked like it would work however the measurements are misleading the product is not square. If you rely on the measurements you will not have enough.

Hung it over my deck and blocks out the bulk of the sun makes it comfortable to sit outside without the sun bothering you

Looked at many shade sails, but this one was THE one. Everything about it: beautiful fabric, well-made, dimensions perfect, and the color is gorgeous. Of course we'll have to see how it holds up, but the warranty was an added incentive. Thank you!!Now finally we can enjoy our sunny deck.

Nice product. We had to add two additional D-rings to the middle of two sides. This should come with 4 additional attachment points, one in the middle of each side, and attaching rings so that people can have additional hanging options to avoid drooping areas or when their space calls for alternative hanging needs.

D-rings rusted in the first year. I bought three triangular sun shades the same year from a different manufacturer and the d-rings on those still haven’t rusted. Doesn’t affect function except I expect it increases wear-and-tear on the webbing loops they’re fastened to. Fabric and stitches are holding up ok, color still looks good, maybe a bit of fraying in the stitches. I tried using the ropes it came with, but ended up installing pulleys up high and cleats at eye level, ran long lines through those so it’s a cinch to tension it, drop part of it to clean off bird poop, or take it down in hurricane season. All that tackle wasn’t cheap but keeps me down off the ladder.

We were really excited about this sunshade when we hung it. We got the 18x22 size and attached it to the house and posts at a height of 10 feet at the house to 9 feet at the posts. Initially sight lines and getting out of the door were totally fine. The middle was around 8ft from the ground. Over the week with some wind and rain it sagged to less that 6 feet off the ground in the middle which just won’t work. Because of the seams still being in good tension there was no way to make it tighter and if it can’t last a week it just isn’t the right product for us.
