This BABOR SOS Calming Ampoule Serum Concentrate is packed with soothing ingredients and feels so amazing and gets rid of any redness when my dry, sensitive skin is having issues. For example, I wore sunscreen but went to an outside wedding on an unusually hot summer day with no shade, and I had no way to reapply my sunscreen applied many hours earlier. I didn’t get fried, but my skin is so pale that I got noticeable sun and my face was red and uncomfortable. I’d say describe my skin as having just a mild sunburn (nothing horrible), but my sensitive skin gets so uncomfortable and red if I accidentally get too much sun. After I washed my face that evening, I applied a whole ampoule (generous amount) to my face and used what was left on my chest. This serum felt so incredibly soothing, and the red went away shortly after use. This serum is pleasing too as it’s non sticky, hydrating and absorbs well. I also used an ampoule after using an AHA product on my face that felt too strong and made my skin red and irritated and again it calmed right down and the red away quickly. This serum feels like first aid for my dry, sensitive skin. Aloe vera is the main ingredient, which makes sense as fresh aloe has been a “go to” for me when I get too much sun and irritation. Plus, this has amazing ingredients that soothe the skin such as ALBATRELLUS CONFLUENS EXTRACT, ASIATICOSIDE, MADECASSIC ACID and panthenol (which hydrates too). I love this product, but have a note about the glass ampoules. They do look high end and keep the product fresh. But they need to be used with care. I used another type of Babor ampoule serum and a fleck of glass ended up on my finger after breaking the top off the ampoule. I saw it so I had ultimately had no issue, but I do feel the need to be careful to check for flecks of glass and and stay away from my eye area. But, that potential issue aside, I totally love this serum. 5 stars. Made in Germany. Usually I avoid facial serums that come in glass ampoules because I always end up cutting my finger when breaking the glass. I really like Babor skincare products and decided to take that chance, yet again. Happy that I did. First off, this set of glass ampoules come with a rubber cap that's meant to be used to help you to safely break the tip off of the glass ampoule. Works great and this time there was no blood. It's a gray piece of rubber that you push that ampoule tip into. Then you snap the tip off. Very safe. Of course, then throw out the tip and save the rubber cap for your next use. There's more than enough serum in each ampoule for one use. I use the excess along my neck and chest. It spreads easily and absorbs well. It's a somewhat thin liquid and makes the skin more supple and elastic. Once set, it's not oily or greasy, nor is it sticky or tacky. Let it fully set before moving onto applying your moisture cream. Won't take all that long. Firms up the skin and diminishes fine lines. Will also soften the deeper set ones. This is a clean and gentle serum that has no detectable scent. Should be safe and fine for those with sensitive skin. Good for all skin types with it being best for those with slightly oily to slightly dry skin. Good for both men and women alike.

Having been a fan of Babor products in the past, when I saw this 7 day treatment available from Vine, I requested it and here we are. This review is for: BABOR SOS Calming Ampoule Serum Concentrates, Soothing Serum to Treat Irritated Skin, Reduce Redness... This stuff really works! This set comes with 7 glass ampoules and a nifty plastic cover to safely open them. I shook the ampoule to be sure everything inside was well blended and then I used the cover to break the glass and apply. There is a lot of product inside those little ampoules! I poured some in my palm and then used my fingertips to gently pat it into my face, neck and upper chest. As I said, there's a lot of product. By the third application, I was noticing much, much less redness and irritation. In the summertime, I am out in the sun every chance I get and sometimes it's in breezy conditions. I feel like this treatment helped reduce the redness from the sun and wind while also smoothing out and calming my complexion overall. To be honest, I was sad to use the last ampoule. I am happy to report though, that even a week after I finished using this product, my redness was still held at bay. Now I have to decide if this product worked well enough to spend the current asking price of $37.00. I think it did, but I will have to make offsetting adjustments in my beauty budget.

What an amazing, soothing treatment after a day of wind and dirt! I couldn’t wait to finally have the opportunity to use this product because my face was actually super irritated today. The packaging is beautiful. There are little motivational messages under each ampoule which is awesome. Kind of like a countdown to your perfect, non irritated face! The directions on popping the tops off the glass ampoules is simple. And you used the little grey tube that is included. Once you crack to top off, discard the glass cap (carefully) and then put it back in the box for next time. The amount of the serum in each ampoule is substantial. Enough to cover your face, neck and your décolleté. After applying, I lay down and relaxed while it absorbed. It felt absolutely wonderful. Like a spa day. You can absolutely tell these are quality ingredients and that the product was made with care. It’s pretty fancy. And you’ll feel fancy in your home spa. After my treatment, I applied my moisturizer as I normally would after taking wind and dust storm abuse. Four hours later and the redness and irritation from under my eyes (sunscreen is my mortal enemy and ALWAYS causes irritation on my cheeks) and face are gone and I am feeling hydrated and moisturized. And no more burning cheeks and under-eye. Absolutely recommend this for a restoration tool after sun or outdoor sports. Very luxurious and effective.

This is the second Babor ampoule set I've tried, and I like this one a ton. I have constant redness to my skin, and use a tiger grass moisturizer on many days (which works great short-term), so I was thrilled to see that Babor has tiger grass in these ampoules. The ampoules are glass and I do have to break the glass to get the serum out. I've been through two sets of these Babor glass ampoules now and I have never had a problem with glass getting into the serum. They break easily and cleanly with the included plastic tool (which is meant to be reused for all seven ampoules). And I love the glass format because glass recycles easily. This serum feels great going on my skin, and my skin feels great after using this serum. For me, it does offer the same redness reduction that I get from other tiger grass products, which is a relief. I would recommend these for anyone who has redness issues in their skin tone. No expiration date on package. Made in Germany.

My skin has redness and especially around my cheek area. I was excited to try this calming serum to see if it actually could help me. Each serum dose is in a small glass vial. It reminds me of how medicine used to come. The packaging is elegant and unique compared to what you get these days. The glass bottles are snapped open with a top breaker. The first one I did wasn’t great because I had never done one before. I did it too slow with poor pressure and ended up with glass shards. They were small but still. After I learned to make sure the top is all the way down and snap quickly. No more issues like the first. There is a ton of serum in each vial. For me, one vial can actually be two applications. I can comfortably coat my face and neck. Otherwise it’s a lot of serum for just one use. It’s runny at first. But it absorbs quickly and feels refreshing. I haven’t experienced any breakouts or discomfort. In terms of rednesses relief, I would say there is some. I have used all the vials and still have some redness. But I’m sure that depends on a whole host of factors for each individual. I can’t say I am not pleased. I would recommend giving this a try. It’s excellent quality and feels great on.
