Some imperfections but a good price
I uploaded a few photos to show the imperfections that I found on the body. There are two spots on the rounded areas, one along the bottom and one along the side, where it looks like the shape wasn't properly smoothed out prior to painting. It should be noted that from a few steps away these aren't really noticeable, and I often forget that they're even there unless the light catches them just right. The other imperfections are thankfully even less of a problem, because they're hidden by hardware -- there's one corner that the paint didn't cover, but it's at the edge of the route for the bridge pickup, so it's completely covered by the pickguard. There's also a small rash along one side of the cutout for the tremolo block, but this is covered by the bridge. The paint is a bit thin, in most cases (particularly for the pickguard screws) it survived drilling the pilot holes but cracked a bit as the screws were put in. Again, the cracking that did happen never extended past the pickguard, so I don't consider this much of a problem. If you do choose to use this body for your build, you will still have to:-- Drill the holes for the pickguard-- Drill the holes for your bridge-- Drill the neck pocket holes-- Drill the hole for your ground wire (between the top route and the back route for soldering the ground to the trem claw)-- Drill the holes for the trem claw screwsSince the neck pocket holes are not drilled prior to painting, you'll have to drill them through the paint, which is another spot where you may get cracking. I got some cracking but it's hidden by the neck plate. The body I received was a perfect fit for the neck I chose to use with it.Overall, while I do like the price, there's a lot of extra work involved that may not be required if you buy from another company. Fender brand bodies are often on sale (if you don't mind being limited to 3-4 color options) and are fully drilled out for you except for the pickguard holes. When on sale, they run about $175. For other color options, so far I've had pretty good results with AE Guitars, which sells bodies that cost only slightly more than this one (around $120) but have far better quality control and like the Fender bodies, only require drilling for pickguard holes. They also have a wide range of colors, with drilling for 2-hole, 6-hole, and hardtail bridge styles. To me, the extra cost associated with these other options is worth it, primarily because I don't have a wood shop and drilling these extra holes is risky for me; one mistake and you have a $100 doorstop, or at the very least a lot more work on your hands to fix it. Although if you're on a budget and less risk-averse than me, this body could be an option for you.

Like an Affinity Strat
It’s thinner than a standard Stratocaster body, but the paint quality and finish are great.

Don’t waste your time or money
Yes, this body was cheap. But the neck doesn’t fit in the neck slot of body…and the fender pickguard doesn’t fit/match the body. All in all, this was a complete waste of money and time. Save yourself the trouble and buy an authentic fender body for $150 more.
