Great tool for detail work
I bought this while going through the Powerplant phase of my A&P certification. We were working on propellers and riffling and sanding nicks out of the blades. I have pretty good eyesight, but to assure that I had eliminated all trace of the defects I ordered these magnifiers. After scrolling through various offerings these appeared to fit the bill so I hit buy now. I really like the rechargeable internal battery for the illumination. The lenses provide a wide field of view while the light weight and adjustable nose pad provide a comfortable using experience. The case is sturdy and keeps everything neat and clean. If anything were to happen to this magnifier I would definitely replace it with another of the same. The value for price is very good.

Excellent Piece of Kit
Just used this to paint up a couple of miniatures for ttrpg/wargame use and it was a great experience. I’d fully recommend this product to anyone looking to fully detail out their miniatures to the most minute degree.Haven’t even bothered to use the higher magnification lenses since the 1x lense was all I needed. Also didn’t need to use the headstrap since the over the ear arms held it on my large noggin just fine. The LED light is great too. Honestly feel like this is what I needed to bring my painting to the next level. Can’t believe I waited this long to buy something like this.Right now, I could not be happier with my purchase, but if anything comes up I’ll be sure to update this review to reflect that.

Great Magnifier For the Price
I am a 67 year old glasses wearer and I am frequently working with small electronic devices (e.g. printed circuit boards, small surface mount components, and soldering irons). As I have aged, working with small parts and assemblies has become more difficult. To that end, I have resorted to frequently removing my glasses and getting my face close to the work in order to see the detail I need. I recently decided to see if there was a solution that would fit my needs. I quickly found very high priced and high quality magnifiers from the likes of Craft Optics, but just could not justify the cost (~$500-~$800). I did some quick searching and came upon these Vision Aid devices. They offer a great deal of functionality and provide for changeable magnifications via snap on lenses. They also provide for a light source and have a good deal of adjustability. The price was very reasonable and I decided to give them a try. They are quite well made given the cost and while the optics are not top of the line ala' Craft, they are better than I expected. After removing the nose piece, they are quite comfortable. In use , the working distance varies with the magnification (higher power requires closer working distance). For my use, I settled on the 2.5X lens, but its great to be able to snap in a different power as needed. My one gripe is that the snap on clip for the lenses is not very firm or secure. It easy to knock it out of place. I may try making some mods to fix that. The LED lamp worked better that I expected and it too is quite adjustable. Also of note is that the company sells replacement parts (e.g. lenses) on their web site. This is great as I'm sure down the road, I'll want to replace the lenses as they get scratched with use. During my initial using, I was finding that I had some double vision issues. I contacted the company via their web site and received a prompt response with instructions to try moving the lens closer to my glasses. They also offered to allow me to return for a refund if I could not make them work for me. That's great support! The suggestion to move the lens closer worked well for me and I am keeping them. All in all, a great product.

They work fairly well but the nose cushions don't last.
January 2025 update:I've been using these on and off for about a year and a half. A couple of things have come to my attention that are worth passing along. One the lenses very easily pop out of the little clamp on the glasses themselves. Lucky I haven't broken one or lost one. But the fit could be more snug.Just today I noticed a pain while wearing the glasses. Turns out the little rubber cushion on the nose piece tour. These are very soft and do not hold up for very long. This would not be a problem if Replacements could be purchased. I haven't seen them. Caveat emptor.Great aid in my model ship building process. But it turns out that I really only use the lowest magnification lens in this set. The flashlight is underpowered and sort of pointless, but I imagine that some might find it useful.I wear this pretty much all the time I'm in my hobby shop working on my model, so it is comfortable. Perhaps when I get to the fine points of the project, rigging the ship, I'll benefit from more magnification, but for now, I find I've got to keep the work too close to my face with these lenses.I'm glad I got the Vision Aid glasses and hope I'll use more than just the one lens eventually.
