🛁 Light up your little one’s bath time with woodland wonder!
Rittle Woodland Critters are a set of 6 floating bath toys featuring LED lights that activate on water contact. Each toy is crafted from safe, phthalate- and toxin-free materials, sealed to prevent mold, and designed to float in any water environment. Perfectly gift-packaged, these charming critters provide 4-6 hours of glowing fun for children aged 12 months and up, continuing to float even after the battery runs out.

3 stars
These toys are adorable and work as advertised. They even come with a mesh bag for drying. I love them. So why 3 stars? When I originally purchased, the product listing stated (and still does) that the batteries will last 7-8 hours and are not replaceable. Not great. Assuming my daughter takes a 20 minute bath, that's only going to last her 24 baths. But they're adorable so I got them anyways. Well then the actual package arrives and right on the back it states that the batteries will only last 2-3 hours. What?! That means best case scenario, these are only going to last her 9 baths now! I do not appreciate the bait and switch. I've included a screenshot of the listing as well as a picture of the back of the box. I suppose I can just give her one toy per bath and make them last longer that way. But I am still rather disappointed in the shady marketing.

Cute but pricey
I actually bought these to use as cake toppers for a woodland creature birthday party. The figures themselves are cute, and I appreciate that they were made in America. As far as bath toys, I like that they are sealed off so they're not as likely to get mold inside, and they do float nicely. I suspect the main reason they are so expensive is because of the LED lights inside. However, our hedgehog only lit up once upon arrival, and two weeks later another 2 out of the 6 no longer work. Personally, I would have happily paid half price for a set of the same design that didn't light up.

JUNK!
I was so excited for these. So was my son. First night in the tub was a blast. He Wouldn't let us turn the light on as they were an awesome light show in the tub. Next night He was so excited he wanted the light off before even getting in the tub. Third night. Out of two packs only 4 or 5 were working. We could get a few to work by squeezing really hard. My son was incredibly sad. Fourth night only 2 worked. By the end of the week they all stopped working. Eventually my 20 month old realized they would never flash again. Though it took many nights of turning the light out and explaining he would only be left in the dark. :( Truly sad as these were a super cute and fun idea. He still plays with the characters now at 2 years old.

Those all worked better and longer
Unfortunately, right out of the box, the fox never lit up. The porcupine lit up a few times for a total run time of less than 5 minutes. The raccoon and owl lit up, off and on. The other two, the bear and the pink animal lit up, but not fully. I have bought 3 of the Rittle sea creatures for gifts in the past. Those all worked better and longer. This was very disappointing--The strip over the contacts on the fox was missing, so I wonder if this was returned for not working or returned after being used. All in all, it was a waste of money. I will have to look for some light up LED bath toys from another company in the future.

4 of 6 did not work, kind of expensive for only 2 working toys
I'm actually fairly disappointed with these. Right after opening the sealed packaging, I found that 2 of the 6 did not have protective stickers over the contacts on the bottom (where water contact allows them to light up), and I had a feeling these would not work. Unfortunately, 4 of the 6 didn't work. First bath, and only two little animals light up. I would hope that a product this expensive would do a better job of quality control, ensuring that they would all work.If you disregard the light-up functionality, these are pretty cute. They sit upright fairly well, and are sealed, so there is not really any ability for mold to develop on the inside. So, reduce the price and remove the lights, and this would be a cute bath toy that is worth the cost. Otherwise, it's not really worth it to pay $20 for 2 bath toys that are only 1.5 inches big.

They Don't Light Up
The bear did not light up out of the box. The hedgehog and fox stopped working after the first bath. I should have read the reviews more closely, and this wouldn't have been a surprise. These are adorable, but the LEDs don't hold up/work at all.

I'd like the ones that DO work to last longer
Such a shame that one of the animals (the pink deer) didn't work right out of the box because these animals really are cute. We just received them, so I have no idea how long they will last. I don't think we'll plan to use these in the bath, more so just for floor play as when they are lit up they are bright enough to keep her attention. Besides, I'd like the ones that DO work to last longer. I'm not sure it's worth it for me to send it back since I"m reading a lot of the other reviews claiming the same non-working complaint. Maybe I should count myself lucky that only one isn't working?

Some of these never really worked; others work intermittently
Cute idea and my kids love them when they work, but two of the six never did, and a couple more of them sometimes are so faint you can barely see them. It's not a question of running them out of battery through improper storage; two of them literally never worked from the time we opened the box. Too expensive for such dodgy quality! When they don't light up, they're cute, but not very interesting to play with.
