RV shower savior!
Amazing! Repaired a plastic shower pan in my Airstream NLA shower. Supposedly nothing sticks to that type of plastic. This product bonded perfectly and saved me from having to get a custom pan made. I also tested a spot by gluing a wire nut to the underside of the pan. I had to grind that off. Great product.

Did exactly what I needed.
I ordered this product to help glue the plastic shell of my laptop back together. The 2 plastic pieces of the screen had begun to separate near the hinge where the pressure of opening and closing was the greatest. It was annoying and kept prying apart more and more. I figured the plastic would crack and break before long if I didn't find a fix.Upon receiving the PlasticWeld, I opened the package, tore a flap of the cardboard Amazon box that it came in off, and grabbed my laptop. Used sandpaper to rough up the plastic where I needed to glue it back together which also cleared out some of the old adhesive the manufacturer originally used. Used the cardboard as a mixing tray, squirted out a good bit of the weld mix onto the cardboard and mixed it all up with the provided wooden stick. Once mixed, I positioned the laptop where the plastic pieces were pulling apart and then used the wooden stick to swab the weld onto both pieces of plastic. After thoroughly coating both pieces I closed the laptop and pushed the 2 pieces of plastic together. After wiping off the excess weld which oozed out, I stuck the laptop under the couch cushion where I was sitting and ate my lunch figuring my weight would hold the pieces securely together while it set up. Bout 30 minutes later I pulled her out and saw no separation of the parts and left the laptop to cure overnight. After that, I have been using the laptop on a daily basis and have seen no issues from that area again. Strong bond that is resisting the tension of opening, closing, and constantly adjusting the laptop screen. I cannot say that this product will work well for all applications, but it sure did the trick for my limited needs and I can think of times in the past that it would have fixed a product that I ended up throwing away.

DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE!
Needed to repair the dust cover on a VERY EXPENSIVE "garage find" Technics turntable. Replacements from the guy who molds new ones cost $300+. I need to repair/replace the "tabs" that go into the hinges, which are 14mm wide and 10mm deep strange (not Lexan or Plexi or polycarbonate) plastic with 3mm wide x 15mm length bonding area. Bought some near correct thickness Lexan at the big-box store, as no plastics supply could match it. Ground down the broken tabs, made new Lexan tabs and tried J-B Plastic Weld. IT WORKED!!! I have sense enough not to slam the dust cover around, but it opens and closes smoothly. Over the years, I've tried plastic specific solvents ($60 10-15cc) and they never worked. Two or three opening and closings and the bond failed. Thank You J-B products!!!

My cruise control lever broke off, and I used this epoxy
It worked great, I had my doubts that it would hold, but sure enough it’s holding good, and I can once again use my cruise control. As a temporary/permanent fix, this stuff is great. One complaint I have, it took way longer than 5 minutes to set. Maybe it was because of cold temperature, not sure, but I had to sit and hold it in place for about 15-20 minutes before it got hard enough to let go. I’d recommend mixing it up, waiting 5-10 minutes till it starts to get thicker before applying, if you have to hold it in place of course

Fixed my dishwasher soap dispenser door!
I used JB PlasticWeld to repair a broken dishwasher soap dispenser door. The tiny tab that latches to keep the dispenser door closed wore off. Sure I could have replaced the dispenser in 30 minutes for $60 but I like fixing things. On my first attempt I tried using only the Plasticweld to reform and build up the tab. The epoxy stuck well after I sanded the plastic to promote a good bond but the cured epoxy flexed too much which caused the door to spring open. So on the second attempt I used the Plasticweld only as a thin primer coat. After it dried I put a couple beads of regular JB QuickWeld to build up the tab and then filed it down to get back the shape and sharp edge of the original tab. I applied one more coat of JB Quickweld on either side of the filed tab for strength and Bingo it worked! The Quickweld was structurally firm enough not to flex and the JB PlasticWeld promoted a good bond. Time will tell how it holds up to hot water but so far so good. Thank you JB Weld!
